Hi All.

I was just wondering if any adults or children in the area would be interested in learning circus skills? My ideas for classes are really in the early stages but I wanted to find out if there would be any demand.

I am an ex national sqaud gymnast and in 1998 I successfully auditioned for the Millenium Dome show. This is where I met my best friend and together we trained at The Circus Space in London for almost 2 years and gained a Cert HE in Contemporary Circus and Theatre Practice. We then went on to perform in The Dome Show performing on trapeze, bungees and stilts to name a few. That's where my circus story ended but my friend went on to perform with the world renowed Cirque Du Soleil for 7 years. She has traveled the world with the show Varekai (which is coming to the Royal Albert Hall in January actually)but recently retired and is now coming to live in ED and thought together we could share our knowledge with you all.

Interested????

I'd appreciate all feedback.

Thanks

I'd be very interested for my eldest, but she's probably a bit too young at 5. (She's very into gymnastics, but I'm looking for something a bit more relaxed than the traditional gym classes.) If you'd consider doing anything for kids that young though, I'd sign her up straight away.

    • Sue My point being that if you experience something that could potentially be sorted by a GP, you might feel it necessary to go to A&E, which would be clogged up due to the doctors strike.  Just my opinion, but I don't really see that its necessary to close a surgery for half a day for staff training.
    • A huge shout-out to Andy! He’s helped us several times now and is an absolute gem. He doesn't just do the easy jobs; he finds solutions to the difficult, non-obvious problems that others might miss. He is very hard working, incredibly friendly, great with pets, and always leaves the place better than he found it. 10/10!
    • Here to add my voice to those praising Temi. She just painted my dilapidated home office in ED and did a fantastic job in just two days in a much lighter colour, including woodwork, damp blocker and filling holes. She's efficient, on time and I barely heard a peep out of her; she just got on with the job. I recommend her wholeheartedly.
