How to dispose old bath, basin etc.

Does anyone know of a service or place where old bathroom fittings can be disposed or collected?

Is it a steel bath? If so, leave it out by the pavement and it will be gone by lunchtime.

Advertise it for free in the "for sale..." section...some gardeners may want them as plant containers.

If you just want to get rid of it, you can book it in for Southwark council

to collect or take it your self to the refuse site at old kent road

Did it have a sign on saying it was free, singalto? I like the idea of freecycling a lot but not people taking stuff from private property without knowing for sure it was up for grabs.

Nigella, the bath was put in the front garden by the person fixing nag my bathroom. I was planning to put a note on it but, having a broken leg and being confined to bed at that time, it hadn't happened. The bath was clearly visible from the road very near the gate. I was delighted that it went...

They will take it from private property whether they know it's up for grabs or not, if it's out the front and visible from the pavement.

And if you remonstrate they will tell you to mind your own business.
