Thorin, our small tabby cat with a white bib went out yesterday morning as usual about 6.30am but has not returned.

He will be in the area of gardens bordered by Lordship Lane, Heber Road, Landcroft Road and Pellatt Road.

If you have a shed that he could have been trapped in please look.

Still no signs PM or 07851 975 625.

Now offering a $50 reward. If he comes home of his own accord, the ?50 will go to Celia Hammond

I am delighted to say Thorin came home, soaking wet, completely nonplussed, starving, at 6.45 today!

I shall go to Celia Hammond today.

Hi,

Unfortunately I have had plenty of experience recently with this (see: Lost Big Black Cat - Cosmo). In all likelihood your kitty will come back in a couple of days, but if not try this, we found it useful as an action plan:

I wish you all the luck in the world, I know how horrible this feels.

    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.  If we were in Somerset and had a press, I'd consider it. Can't be that diffcult, can it?
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
