Keef Posted June 19, 2007 Share Posted June 19, 2007 In all seriousness, I remember doing a WWII project whilst at primary school, and going to see a couple of bomb shelters in people's gardens. One was the house next to the police building on CPR, more or less opposite the Uplands. Can't think where the others were though.... Amelie Posted June 19, 2007 Share Posted June 19, 2007 I lived in Thorpewood Avenue as a child and we had a WWII bunker in our back garden, it became too damp to use for anything eventually and my Dad and a friend spent a Sunday with a hired pneumatic drill knocking down the top so we could reclaim that part of the garden.
