Ireland v Italy 2.30 Saturday

Scotland v France 5.00 Saturday

England v Wales 3.00 Sunday

Two home wins, maybe three?

Dulwich College through to the final after beating RGS High Wycombe this afternoon at Allianz Park. Some extraordinary refereeing giving out 4 yellow cards and one red (three yellows and a red to Dulwich). One yellow was for pushing another player in the chest! Dulwich down to 13 at one point, but some truly heroic defending camped on their own line for the last 15 mins saw them through 7-3.

The final is on Saturday 29th March at Twickenham against Warwick School. The more support they have the better. Only one other school has won three titles- but that was at the very beginning of the tournament when there was no limit on the amount of Scholarship players. So essentially a third win in a row for Dulwich would be unprecedented.

Wales lose again. Never again should a team take over the lions as if it was their own. They were good yes, but never as good as they thought they were. Great performance by England and it seems only a late French try has prevented them winning a grand slam (cant see them losing to Italy).

Congrats to England on the TC - I actually like them at present - Hope

they win the 6N - Certain non playing personalities like to wind up Welsh

fans however.

England had a big say in the Lions - IMHO - I could list English players

that had influence even in the final game - it's a 23 a side game.

Wales have issues with the new laws at the scrummage (I really would like

to go back to the hit personally and I find it rather unfair that after

years of one law, administrators change to something different 1 year out

from the world cup - Gethin and Adam are maybe to old to adjust and might

be gone now)

They will be back for next years games (Cardiff and RWC at HQ - too many big

players not to be.

You really need Ireland to lose - but apparently they don't

often win in Paris.

With so many players unavailable, England looked really good today. Nigel Owens I think made a couple of poor decisions for a ref considered to be the best. I hope he doesn't believe his own publicity.

The AB's will be better next week but I imagine England can be too. One thing for certain is that England are serious WC contenders next year. With home advantage they should win it given the players they have. 4/1 at the moment.

The Rugby World Cup sent the ballot results today.

I got tickets for Ireland France in Cardiff on Sunday 11 October 2015 and have the hotel booked.

Unsuccessful in getting any England games and semi final or final but pleased to have got something. Anyone else have any luck ?

I didn't even try Mick. Was thinking about that fixture today strangely enough. I didn't think it was part of the ballot as I'd read there were plenty of seats for games in Cardiff. I was also looking at the draw and if Ireland were to win their group (and that match is likely to be the decider) they could have a Q/Final v Argentina followed by a semi v England if they were to win. If they lose to France I think it's a Q/Final v NZ. But hey, we've got to beat them sometime.

    • And from what I remember, she eventually cut the tea shop for a similar  reason to chandelier.  Chariot style buggies
    • Oh yes, it could have been about there, I can't remember exactly. At one point there seemed to be a load of pizza places opening on NCR. I vaguely remember the one we used to use was put out of business by another one which opened. Wasn't Grace and Favour's food offering more of a tea shop at the back of the actual shop? If memory serves the owner, whose name escapes me now, was one of the earliest people I know to move to Hastings. Which must now be crammed with South East Londoners 🤣

    • Hi Dogkennelhillbilly, You won't be aware that i proposed infill sites for housing in East Dulwich - the garages on Bassano Street and Henslowe that respectively became 1-4 Dill Terrace family houses and the 78, 80, 80A Henslowe Street family houses. These were council owned garages and it was frustrating how slow the council was to go from my idea to completion (roughly eight years). East Dulwich has some other vacant WW2 bomb sites I'm guessing that the private land owners have been sitting on.Owe for a land tax for vacant land.  WRT to the builders yard by East dulwich station. Southwark Council has an agreed policy the area should remain suburban 2/3 storeys maximum. But the approved scheme is 9 storeys of student accommodation. Very hard to put this genie back in the bottle. The council has recently publicly stated lower ratios of social housing will be required. I will be amazed if the developer doesn't submit another application now they have the 9 storeys approved but with significantly less social housing. The less social housing the higher the land values. The higher the land values the less social housing viability reports state are possible.  If we really want to increase home supply - Southwark have over 6,000 empty homes. Vancouver charges a low % of the value of empty homes and rapidly eased this problem. Parts of Wales have introduced under Article 4 planning permission is required for second homes seeing within 12 months a dramatic decrease in property prices. Southwark Council have Article 4 requirements - why not add this one? It takes National political will to solve this AND regional and local authorities such as the second home council tax premium and these being used promptly.
