We checked out this restaurant last night. Service was verrrry slow, but they've just opened, and were pretty busy, so I can forgive them. Thought the food was quite nice - nothing remarkable, but good "home cooking" style Italian food. Restaurant had a nice feel to it, staff were friendly, prices were reasonable - will probably go back!

Excelent food, friendly staff they've got rid of the nice bay area at the back I always had my Birthday Bashes there - there's a bar there now but apart from that and breakfast menu YET its a happy addition to East Dulwich (or as the Liberal Council says Nunhead!)

Just returned from this restaurant. Very friendly staff, busy and buzzy atmosphere. Food was good value, generous portions, gutsy flavours - try the Spaghetti Lorenzo (capers, garlic, olives & chillis), particularly recommended. Short and low cost wine list. Probably possible to have a bowl of pasta, salad and glass of wine for less than ?15.00 a head if you chose.

We will return.

We went yesterday for an early evening meal with the children and it was a great success.

I can recommend the fetuccine al salmone - we snacked on some bread and olives beforehand with a glass of montepulciano d'abruzzo.

The childrens portions are slightly smaller versions of the non-childrens versions and cost ?1 less.

The service was very friendly - especially as our youngest decorated the white tablecloth on the table behind him a beautiful tomato red!

Large espressos with toffee/pecan, tiramisu rounded it off perfectly.

We left at about 7, by which time it was starting to fill up big time.

Definitely recommended. Good luck to them.

Went to Si mangia last night with Mrs Bob S it is where two trees was it is run by the son of Lorenzoes C/P fame,

OK - it is now Monday morning. I am at work, struggling to keep two bits of dry toast down. My body is aching all over and this weekend I became well aquainted with my toilet bowl.

Si Mangia gave me the most horrible case of food poisoning after I (stupidly) ate there on Friday night. I woke up in the night vomiting and this continued all weekend. The actual meal was not even that good! Pasta overcooked, small portions, waiting staff had us in and out in about half an hour.

Visit this hellhole at your peril. A short amount of time there is causing me days of misery.

    • I had a leaky toilet cistern and Niko came out the same day and not only fixed the leak but thoroughly cleaned off the years of calcium build-up. His attention to detail was matched by his kind humanity. The result was a completely renovated toilet which has never worked more efficiently as well as 'service with a smile'. MANY THANKS NIKO!!!

    • "You have no idea why"   To be fair Sue, it's blindingly obvious to anyone who has a conversation with anyone who isn't a Corbyn supporter. And even some who liked Corbyn (like me initially) found him somewhat flaky even at his most popular But let's say you are right and I have NO idea why anybody might not vote for him. They still didn't vote for him. He lost two elections. The second one badly (and strongly predicted but the stubborn old goat wouldn't budge so we we were stuck with Johnson and another 3 million PMs in the 5 years that followed) So even with ZERO evidence, we have our eyes and ears and brains But we do have evidence   https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/27022-their-own-words-why-voters-abandoned-labour
