If it makes it any easier to get your head around, I should note that nursery fees don't get adjusted when nursery is closed (for example over Xmas) - you just have to think that really the actual daily rate is higher and its just equalised over the year! Agree with other posters -its kind of up to the childminder as to how they present it though - so some will specify paid hols and some not and its just part of the weighing up options decision.

    • Deptford Library run a D&D club once a month for under 14s.  I’ve not been before but have booked a place for my 11 year old for the next one. 
    • Diwali starts 12th October. Is there any way to predict where and when fireworks will be going off? We also have November 5th, Halloween and then New Year and Chinese New Year. Given the availability of low noise fireworks, does anyone else think it is anti social to let off the noisy kind? 
    • if you have safeguarding concerns, please contact social services. Unfortunately, financial abuse of the elderly is an ongoing problem. In my professional life I investigated a large number of cases where the elderly person lived alone and was befriended by helper/carer/gardener/ church visitor etc.  However, this may not be the case in this instance.
