jollymummy
We have just bought our 7 year old son an electric piano and now need to organise a teacher. I can see that a couple of people have advertised their services on the forum but am keen to follow up on a recommendation. Many Thx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/98117-recommend-your-childs-piano-teacher-pls/ Share on other sites
BeccaL
Musico South are very good at selecting a teacher to suit your child - http://www.musicosouth.co.uk/ - we've been with them for a couple of years and delighted at the way the teacher works with our daughter, encourages her to push herself yet chooses pieces and work that suit her. Tanza
I recommend Sue Klein - my 12-year old son has been learning piano with Sue for a few years now - all going well. She's kind and encouraging and he's made good progress too. She teaches clarinet too. Her email is [email protected] I don't have her phone number to hand but if I can find it, I'll add this onto my post later. AbbieP
Hello, jollymummy, can you please write back when you have any feedback? I'm also on a look out for a piano teacher for my 8-year-old Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/98117-recommend-your-childs-piano-teacher-pls/#findComment-974973 Share on other sites
nunheadmum
I would second using Musico South - we've had some lovely teachers through them. Just off for my own lesson with one now! millymoll
My kids (and I) had/have lessons at JASSPA - James Allen's Saturday school. Loads of teachers (so if one doesn't suit another might). The thing I've really enjoyed is that they organise concerts through the year - small informal ones for beginners and larger scale ones for more confident performers.
