These are what are called Ward Promises from ward Meetings. You ask we answer. The format in my opinion is excellent and very responsive to people who attend the meetings. You can find out about your local ward meeting by looking at

I guess this explains this There Has Been A Burglary Near You leaflet I got through the door. It's prompted me to start locking the door when I'm home slightly more often.

It is very unlikely that the police can catch burglars, street thieves etc in the act and they can just solve crimes that have already been committed using intelligence. So it is up to the general public to keep their valuables and themselves safe.Since there are no REAL deterrents when these scrotes are caught especially the younger ones, nothing will improve.

It was inevitable that, due to the expansion of the use of electronic surveillance, improvements in home and car security, that police numbers would be cut as fire service numbers were cut due to improvements in prevention- this is to be welcomed surely. In the last year, after a fall in crime figures over the last 20 years, overall crime rose by 2% last year. Unfortunately violence against the person increased by 21%......

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
