Cracked the second one.

To be honest, the first one was overdone when it arrived too. Half hard yolk and half still just runny.

I know these are little gripes, but at ?4.50 it's the little things that have to be perfect every time.

While it sounds like we all agree it's too expensive... comparing the price with mass produced supermarket items is pointless, and TBH bloody annoying.

But Jeremy as I stated, Ayres are not mass produced. They bake their own on site. I don't know the prices so cannot quote specifically, but I would assume and even place a bet they're cheaper than 1.50 a pop.

I never at any time suggested that ?1.50 for a bun in a cafe was expensive..

Although the price differential with gettin 12 buns for the same price might suggest so..

.. But the Brick House is a Bakery and equipped to make them in bulk as required.. and may not be any better than

those bought from a supermarket..

Ayres are less expensive

Ayres now has a deli counter. They sadly had to go to a car dealer the other day to buy a new car, and found it stressful, relayed via their Twitter A/c. I bought A pack of six wholemeal buns from sainsburys for a quid.

I don't follow them on Twitter because I don't care for too much social media as previously stated. I just love their food. They have the most amazing buttery sausage rolls around.
