SPRING Mindfulness(MBSR)Course at Goose Green Clinic starting on Thurs 21st April

Recommended Posts

I am pleased to be attaching details of the next MBSR Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course that Jonathan Clark is running in East Dulwich. There are 3 remaining spaces.

The course is a 6 week course and will run for 18 hours. There will be 6 Thursday evenings 7.30pm to 9.30 pm from 21st April to 26th May as well as a day workshop on Saturday 7th May from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

Courses have been very popular and successful with extremely positive feedback. Jonathan is a very experienced and highly recommended teacher. It's a great way to move into Spring and Summer on a very positive note for self caring and development. A tool for life....

This course will consist of meditation and relaxation techniques designed specifically to help overcome the effects of stress and anxiety.

These well documented MBSR courses are run extensively throughout the UK, pioneered originally in USA by John Kabatt Zin and by Mark Williams in the UK. The approach has been clinically proven to reduce the negative effects of stress and anxiety enabling people to cope better and lead happier lives. In recent years these courses have been widely endorsed by both the medical profession and the media.

If you have already done a meditation course this will be a way of taking the core practice of Mindfulness further. It is also suitable for people with no previous experience of meditation.

Please contact me if you would like to book a place

The full cost is ?200 (concessions available). This inculdes a course workbook and cd as well as a light lunch and all refreshments at the Saturday workshop.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any queries.

Kind regards

Janet

    • You might possibly consider that the the degree of scepticism and suspicion your original post encountered was largely due to the accusatory nature of the title in which you specifically identified a long-standing and respected local business. You also sensationalised the matter by using the words "poisoning" and  "twice!" in the heading.
    • Thank you for your replies all. Elloriac, I followed your advice: I filled out the form and they said they would collect today. So I left the sharps bins on my front door last night, with a not like you said and this morning they were all gone! Fantastic.
    • I feel like I need a 'Rory Stewart' style quick explanation on the debate around Dulwich LTN. Would anyone have any pointers to a balanced summary? I'm moving to the village soon and I feel like I need to understand this better given the strength of sentiment expressed on some of these threads. Any help appreciated!
    • I think you're imagining too much into this. I've never heard of 'Theweekend' (unless my wife is posting without me knowing!) I find it disappointing that you automatically assume I'm either stupid (can't cook!) or evil (on a vendetta against a shop). I'm not sure what you think my motive might be, but I've no animosity towards that shop. It's not very nice when you share an experience on this forum and old timers brigade you, dismiss what you say and blame you for something unpleasant that that happened to you. Imagine if this was you. Personally, I think their chicken thigh supplier is not good. I used to shop in Smithfield and I know most butchers just buy them in 5kg tubs. Voila.
