Restaurant in Camden any recommendations?

I don't like Hache. The burgers are indifferent and the buns are foul. Have been to the one in Fulham Road. Why not try Lemonia in Regents Park Rd, NW1. It's in Primrose Hill. Just over the bridge from Chalk Farm station. It's Greek and very meaty but does have veggie stuff as well. Very popular.

Hee hee, my brain was probably addled although I do find it a bit of a stretch that a burger restaurant would choose to use 'foul buns'. Then again after four Long Island Iced Teas a coaster would have probably tasted delicious.

The buns at Hache tasted like stale dry ciabatta. I was not the only one to think so. Byron burgers are good, and their buns are better although not perfect. It's a far superior chain to Hache. The closest one to here is Canary Wharf or Kings Road. Closest to Camden is Islington.

There is a vegetarian indian restaurant in Drummond st (diwali) or something similar, which gets full of indian families and is often very busy, it is very good value but there is no booze the most popular drink is lassie.

There is an enclave of indian restaurants there so you will not struggle for a good meal.

If you don't mind the production line service and seating arrangements reminicent of a primary school dinner-room - try Wagamama, it's an unusual Japanese-style Noodle and Soup Bar at 11 Jamestown Road, off Camden High Street, London NW1 7BW (020 7428 0800).

I've been there a few times - it's different but well worth the experience - the food is good, too: http://www.wagamama.com

Yes - I noticed on their website that they're everywhere now - I think the one in Jamestown Road was one of the first in the UK back when Camden was my local stomping ground. Gosh, that's 15 years ago already.

Asakusa - Japanese restaurant in Mornington Crescent. You need to book though.

Wagamama's not exactly my favourite place to eat, but on the plus side, you know that you're going to get something OK-ish for not a lot of cash.

Wagas used to be cheap but put its prices up a year or so back and now feels overpriced. The new Wagamama's is Busaba Eathai - but I don't think there's one in Camden.

I thought about recommending Cottons but then remembered that everytime I've been, I thought it was overrated - even their goat curry...
