janna
Hi Everyone I just wanted to tell everyone about our local Chish and Fips ! Crofton Park, just round the corner from Honar Oak station and past CP high street. I know this site is for Ed, but its near enough. The Brockley Rock is cheaper than the Seacow, ( tho we love the Seacow - but times are hard !) and we have been having fish and chips on a friday for the last couple of weeks -take out( ok time are not that hard, ) I can highly recommend this place and thought we'd help out by recommending. Anyway see link below, if interested and in need of fish and chips !http://www.brockleysrock.co.uk/

rememberwhen
It might be good but it's certainly NOT just around the corner from Honor Oak Station!
Annette Curtain
Oh that place, right near Crofton park station ( a little way past The Brockley Jack )It's alright & may well be cheaper than TSC but....Horses for courses and all that
Saffron
Actually, it's near Brockley Station, hence the name Brockley Rock... but if you live on the Nunhead side of ED area, it might be closer to you than Sea Cow?
ratty
Excellent. I work there. Will pop in next week!
Huguenot
Surely if you work in the chippy you should make an effort to pop in more frequently ;-)
Undisputedtruth
There used to be a chippy just around the corner on Foxberry Road. They had the best and cheapest chips in the area. Sadly, the shop closed many years ago.
Carbonara
The Brockley Rock will be my next fish and chips stop! Thanks for the heads up. We've sometimes been over to herne Hill to Ollies, but nice to try a new place.
LooseChippings
There is another really good Fish'N'Chip shop in Hastings. Just round the corner from Honor Oak Park Staion and a little bit further passed the Brockley Rock.

Never tried the fish though. If you call him before going he will cook to order so it's ready for pick-up - very good haddock last time - he even battered a burger for my OH (it's a Cork thing). Much better than Sea Cow imho.
Gidget
Yes, the person serving at Emily's was extremely helpful and pleasant. Will make sure to get some fish next time. I usually go to Sema's. It always seems busy.

As well as the food being nice the portions are HUGE! My o/h and I both have big appetites and we could quite cheerfully share one cod and chips from Sema's
