I would like to recommend Simones classes at Mckenzie's.

Simone is a really good boxer and teacher. She will get you fit 😃

She does classes for women only and classes where you can bring your children.

She will also train men. She does group sessions and 1-2-1 sessions.

If you are a beginner or intermediate or advanced. She will cater for you.

Hey ya everyone!

Wanted to give you heads up on the great Simone! First time working with Simone! Firstly speaking to her she was already so welcoming and was even better when I showed up in class today! I have trained with other boxing trainers but never really felt quite safe until today! I really felt safe with her and the women in class! I love boxing and working out with women is beyond amazing! Safe and no macho bullshit! Gotta love it!! Simone is supportive, attentive to your movements whether it is punching or working with the focus pads. Accommodates if you have injuries giving you other exercised to do. I shall be back for sure!! I really needed to get back into it! AND THE BEST??? IT IS REAL BOXING!!! None of this boxercise stuff!!!

I highly recommend Simone's class!!

I tried Simone's class last week and found it to be exactly what I was looking for: physically challenging, different and fun. What I liked about my first class was the individual attention she gave, her energy and passion and the sweat-inducing nature of her workouts. I highly recommend her class to anyone looking to learn boxing in a safe environment, and you'll receive a cleansing workout as well. What better way to start your week! Thanks Simone!

I went to the Sunday class yesterday at 4pm and I loved it. Will definitely be signing up for the 10 class block.

I have no previous experience of boxing and recently my base level of fitness has slipped so I was a little intimidated by the idea. I really shouldn't have worried. The class is appropriate for all levels of fitness and ability but you will sweat and have to work hard. You'll also feel that satisfying muscle soreness the next day that you only get from working previously underused muscles and a good full body workout.

I particularly enjoyed the variety: cardio, circuits, core exercises as well as the expected pad and punching bag work with a partner.

Simone is fantastic - knowledgable, enthusiastic and very patient (much needed with me) - as were all the other ladies in the class. Very friendly, fun vibe.

Highly recommended and if you're interested but still unsure, check out the Facebook page... www.facebook.com/mindovermatterboxing

Thanks

    • Hmmm, millions of animals are killed each year to eat in this country.  10,000 animals (maybe many more) reared to be eaten by exotic pets, dissected by students, experimented on by cosmetic and medical companies.  Why is this any different? Unless you have a vegan lifestyle most of us aren't in a position to judge.  I've not eaten meat for years, try not to buy leather and other animal products as much as possible but don't read every label, and have to live with the fact that for every female chick bred to (unaturally) lay eggs for me to eat, there will be male that is likely top be slaughtered, ditto for the cow/milk machines - again unnatural. I wasn't aware that there was this sort of market, but there must be a demand for it and doubt if it is breaking any sort of law. Happy to be proved wrong on anything and everything.
    • I don't know how spoillable food can be used as evidence in whatever imaginary CSI scenario you are imagining.  And yes, three times. One purchase was me, others were my partner. We don't check in with each other before buying meat. Twice we wrote it off as incidental. But now at three times it seems like a trend.   So the shop will be hearing from me. Though they won't ever see me again that's for sure.  I'd be happy to field any other questions you may have Sue. Your opinion really matters to me.
    • If you thought they were off, would it not have been a good idea to have kept them rather than throwing them away, as evidence for Environmental Health or whoever? Or indeed the shop? And do you mean this is the third time you have bought chicken from the same shop which has been off? Have you told the shop? Why did you buy it again if you have twice previously had chicken from there which was off? Have I misunderstood?
    • I found this post after we just had to throw away £14 of chicken thighs from Dugard in HH, and probably for the 3rd time. They were roasted thoroughly within an hour of purchase. But they came out of the oven smelling very woofy.  We couldn't take a single bite, they were clearly off. Pizza for dinner it is then. Very disappointing.
