Thought as much.

Today's featured race is a much more open affair Mick, so it's unlikely that we'll all pick the same horses. The odds will be good, so a good opportunity to score lots of points...

Had a nice betting win on Brown Panther there...Michael Owen's horse.

Unfortunaltey I didn't pick it in the fantasy racing. Had the runner up.

Argyle tells me that like Mick he is only competing against RD's first string and not versions 2 & 3.

I'm the Aidan O'Brien of the EDF, not my fault I have so many good horses...

I have a list of 8 backed from the off - Rory, Zach, Hunter, Henrik, Brandt, Bill (Haas), Billy (Horschel), Paul (Casey).
Most are going ok so far and great to see Tiger make a poor start.

Free accumulator. Open sky bet account - 10 in your account for free. Join their weekly promotion, one 5 above 5/1 accumulator every week, if you don,t win , 5 returned. It's a free 5 Accies every week.

You still have to spend 5 every week yourself to get the extra 5 bet so it's not really free. It just sounds like it is!

er, no Mr Medic.

You get your 5 quid refunded every week - and even if you win too I found out today. This alsts for the whole football season...so a free 5 accie weekly, as lonag as you do it every week.

Plus if you open an account you get the free 10 whether you join the accie promo or not

It is free money, they are chasing customers,

Posted by red devil 16 August, 2013 16:53

I've just been on the site. I'm with Meds on this one.
My understanding is you have to place a weekly 5 bet (accie > 5/1).
This then qualifies you for another 5 bet, not a refund in the true sense of the word. The additional 5 bet has to be spent in Skybet, and not taken out of the account. So in effect you are getting 2 5 bets for the price of one.
Or have I missed something bleedingly obvious! smiling smiley

you get 10 for free...you do the maths

messageRe: Betting Matters....
Posted by Alan Medic 16 August, 2013 17:26

The 10 free bet is a one off while the free accie only works if you spend a fiver each week,Mr.Quids. I used my 10 ages ago so it's not new. As RD says it's a buy one get one free deal on the accies and given the minimum odds you must have maybe not as good as it sounds.

messageRe: Betting Matters....
Posted by 16 August, 2013 17:34

I get a free 5 accie all season - no problem if it's 5/1 or 10/1 . I don't even do accies but A free one all season... at 5/1 I should mathematicall get a couple in too...but I'll probably go for a bigger odd one

this weekend West Ham > Cardiff, Reading<Watford Liverpool=Stoke smiling smiley

my op does point out you need to open an account...

messageRe: Betting Matters....

It's not free to the extent you are also paying 5 a week and maybe losing 5 a week.

messageRe: Betting Matters....
Posted by Mick Mac 16 August, 2013 18:03

Quids. Are you backtracking on this ..

messageRe: Betting Matters....
Posted by red devil 16 August, 2013 18:04

It's a good deal if you're a regular punter, esp if you don't mind doing accies. I often do accies on the football, so I will look into it more later. Thx for the heads up ...

messageRe: Betting Matters....

Look at it this way. If you had to bet 10k a week to get another 10k bet 'free', would you consider that free? If there's risk involved that you will lose money it can't be considered 'free' can it?

messageRe: Betting Matters....
Posted by 16 August, 2013 19:48

I get $10 free, I can then place a 5 accie every week if it loses or win I get 5 back in my account every week. if i lose all my bets throughout the season I still have 10 in my account at the end of the season......you're not understanding this mr M.

if you've already an account, you need to pay for the first accc (5) but then get free accas every week...

no tricks

No!!!!

You get your account credited back every week.

It's a trap Quids. There's no way out. You have to bet the money you put in and the money they give you back in the same week.It costs you 5 per week to stay in. Having a 'free' 5 bet is not the same as having 5. Lets say this offer lasts for 30 weeks. You have to invest 30x5 to play i.e 150. This also gives you another 150 to bet. If you don't win one bet you have lost 150.

You have read the T&C's have you?

[support.skybet.com]

1st paragraph, you bet 'only' 5 per week.

.......and stop using that 10 as a red herring!

messageRe: Betting Matters....
Posted by Alan Medic 16 August, 2013 22:01

You can't even withdraw your winnings but can use them on other non accie bets. Raise the white flag...........please

messageRe: Betting Matters....
Posted by 16 August, 2013 22:17

It,s not a trap. You are just miss-reading it. They did it all last season too and the bloke that told me about it did it. I tell you what I,ll let you know if I get my free bet as it clearly states next week......

Still sticking with this? I'm tempted to have a 5 bet this week to prove that if my 5 'entry fee' dries up the following week so does my (not so) free accie!

Even if you do win something, it's a bit like that charity shop on LL. Anything you get you have to spend it in the shop.

How you define 'free' appears to be the nub of the arguement. I think it's something for nothing. In this case you have to spend to receive. That's not 'free' is it?

messageRe: Betting Matters....
Posted by 17 August, 2013 15:56

Well no, I still think this is a great value promotion, as long as you bet regulary
