They were only slightly on the pavement, 2 wheels and he wouldnt do it on any street pavement, but in the park, you just don't know, I have been to places before and seen how others have parked and if its looked ok and not dangerous etc, I have done what others have done, I just think it should be clearer, I offered to help them pay, but pride and all that :(

As its a park, some people may think its ok to if the car parks full and the road is narrow, I'm more peeved that the warden just let them do it, what happened to helping people out? Like emc being warned by a kind passer by, as I would do myself. Just would have saved them ?60, my dad is really carefull and wouldn't have parked there had he known.

My parents came over yesterday for a bbq from East London and they stopped off in the park to walk the dog. Because it was hot, I told them to park in the car park on Strakers rd and stick to the wooded areas. The car park was full and everyone was parking on Strakers Rd, so my dad followed suit. He bumped his wheels on the pavement like everyone else and as he got out a warden pulled up behind them, he let my mum go past she thanked him and they went on there way. When they returned to the car they had a ?120 fine(6) They didn't know they were parked illeagally and thanks to the @rsehole warden for warning them that they would get a ticket if they parked there (td) They are pensioners you w@nker >:D< tonnes of people got tickets, maybe they should spend that money on good signage warning you and fixing the holes in Strakers Rd, nice one Southwark(6)

There has been a few dead birds on the fields in Peckham Rye park lately, lots of feathers like pigeon feathers on the ground and the odd leg, looks like the birds have been plucked. Would this be the bird of prey that we sometimes see doing this?

Oh what a lovely, but sad story :'( bless that little bird and well done for helping it x

Peckham Rye park this morning at about 10am was stunning:)) The warm sunshine bought out all the little tiny birds, around the bowling green I saw Wrens, Blue Tits and Great Tits just flitting around the trees, it was lovely, Wrens are sooo cute and tiny(tu)

I hate the way he say "I ate dogs" >:D< Git! If he can get attatched to "Dem girls" who got ripped to death by a fox, imagine how attatched he would get to said dog! Has anyone noticed the way the superb Candyman sometimes plays a Beatles track as the first on in his show? Dig at Elms me thinks:)) Having said that, I like the programme, hate the easy listening Mondays though, except for Listed Londoner, love that and am NOT a jazz lover, but hey ho, can't have it all!

Well said first mate. Steve T its obvious that you are not keen on dogs, as everytime dogs are brought up on here, you go on and on about them :'( some of us are dog lovers and to read people going on and on is pretty annoying but this thread is about dog sharing not dog shit >:D

The money from the Dog licences could provide proper Dog wardens and trainers for a start. My dog has passed her Kennel Club bronze good citizen thingy, she got bored at training and gave up, otherwise we would have gone on to pass silver and gold, of that I have no doubt :))

cate Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > jb is a he accrding to previous posting history > and probably doesn't like any dogs. oops....... I read it that jb1000 has a dog, read it again and was wrong I guess! Well, jb1000 has to get over it, there's lots of people that don't like lots of things, but you know what, we all have to rub along together, dogs are a very big part of lots of peoples lives and they have to be excersised or they will go nuts!
-
jb1000 A complete ban on dogs! Why should the good responsible dog owners and their dogs be punished??!! Are you nuts (td) and I beg to differ the vast majority of people who use the park especially at this time of year ARE dog owners! I am there everyday come rain or shine. Who are these dogs you speak of? You say yourself that its a small majority who keep aggresive breeds and don't keep them under control and the park is for eveyone, that includes ME and my 2 very well behaved dogs, therefore, please do not tar us all with the same brush and start all this rubbish about a complete ban on dogs! How would you like it if they did that at Dulwich park? Where would you go then? Part of the solution could be dog licenses, the money from them could employ dog wardens, park rangers and dog trainers and everyone should have to do the Kennel Club Good Citizen scheme and attend dog training classes. If you are a true dog lover and want a dog bad enough, you would comply with all that. A few years ago, a small group of us spent a lot of our own spare time collecting signatures for a petition against keeping dogs on leads in Southwark parks, we don't need all that again thank you very much!

I carry a small can of hairspray and a rape alarm in my park bag when I walk my dogs, most women use hairspray, don't they? ;-)

Hi Emily, WTG Woody:)) I'm so pleased that his op went well, please do keep us up to date on his recovery, bless him. Like firstmate, I am also interested in the feedback from the SNT and the MET, don't let it lie, be persistant with them, the law needs to be changed on dog on dog attacks. Good luck Woody x x x
