Well I remember Cook making a very brave stand in the last Ashes, and staying in for most of a day, only to be out with a few overs left... He is capable, but I won't hold my breath!

I find myself using LOL these days, having always sworn I never would. However, I got a message recently containing "RAOFL". When I asked what the flip that meant, I was told it was "Rolls about on floor laughing"... Now that is just taking things too far, how was I ever supposed to know that!

I have identified wih Mike Gayles' male characters. His books are just "Bridget Jones for boys" really, but I think he writes good characters, and Mrs Keef said she thinks he writes a good girl, for a boy. I am fond of Stephen Clarke's bumbling Englishman in France Paul West in the "Year in the merde", "Merde Actually", and "Merde Happens" (the last one set more in America than France).

When I was in Lithuania I remember sitting outside a cafe watching the world go by and just being amazed! Of the Baltic islands, I think they win. That said, Mrs Keef is 1/4 Latvian, so I'll shut up.

Spurs have reported Liverpool & Man U to the league fr their interest in Berbatov & Keane. I'm not sure where I stand on this. On the one hand, it takes the absolute p!ss for Man U to moan about Real Madrid's interest in Ronaldo, and then go and blatantly claim that they expect Berbatov to join them! On the other hand, if you want a player, why shouldn't you say so? Wouldn't it be interesting if there were no transfer fees. Players signed to a club, and had to see out their entire contract, and then became free agents and either resigned or moved on. No fees involved... Would be a very different game!

Heading there for about 2. they're putting a play on at 4 that Mrs Keef wants to watch.

Keep the faith, it's not that different from the first test (except Cook hit a few). Fingers crossed these 2 will bed in after lunch and knock'em around a bit... I also predict Flintoff will get 40 or 50 so long as he keeps his head... Looking forward to seeing him bowl a bit too, apparently he's bowling as well as ever at the moment.
