  1. I think Wenger only has so much to do with it to be honest. No manager really holds a clubs purse strings. Keef Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > we're going to give Villa ?18m for Gareth Barry Okay maybe not! I must keep up!
  2. It would be a few busses, but I woudn't bother. Other than the party go go sheep and some caves, there isn't a lot to do.
  3. Strong words BlueOne, but a fair point in there!
  4. I just don't get the whole raw fish thing... Then again, I don't get the whole cooked fish thing either, so I'll just go and make a pancake. In all seriousness, I had the idea of opening a creperie some years ago, and more recently have discussed it with Mrs Keef, but I just don't think I'd know where to start, or have the bottle.
  5. Ha ha, a colleague of mine had to go and see a guy a couple of years back, and there was a warning on the system about him. It turned out that he had been caught abusing a goat at the petting zoo near shooters hill... Not far from Chislehurst actually, must be something about the area! I'm sorry, but who gets so wound up on coke that they feel the need to travel over to chislehurst (bit of a mission), and get involved with a wooly friend?!?!?
  6. King of wishful thinking - Go West Get in there with some proper cheesey shite!
  7. Good business from Arsenal, Hleb goes having given them 3 seasons, and they make about half a mil profit on what they paid for him (tu)
  8. Doubt it macroban, there have been things like that written before. The fact is, the transfer fees were dropping, and then a very rich russian bought chelsea, and it went mental again, then a lot of americans started buying clubs and so on... I wish it would sort itself out, but we're going to give Villa ?18m for Gareth Barry, so obviously the madness is still happening. (I want us to buy Barry by the way, but the price is steep!)

    Great Gigs

Yeah, first time I'd been, just so odd really to have a gig there that it makes the whole experience a bit... dare I say it... magical. :-S

    LOL Posts

Thought I'd start a new thread for posts that have really made you spit your tea over your keyboard! I'd like to start with this macroban Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Ocado has been making huge losses for the last eight years and was just about to break even when the recession hit. This > service may not survive. > > Foxtons sales are running at under 50% of the 2008 business plan. This service may not survice. > > I would not be buying shares in London Scaffolding, which had a near monoploy for East Dulwich loft conversions. Which drew this response. Top drawer >:D<

    Great Gigs

Was with Anna at Somerset House last night, and The Zutons were wicked! I didn't know many of their songs, and often at gigs like that I am looking at my watch thinking "get on with playing the hit so I can go home". However, last night I was really impressed, and enjoyed nearly all the songs! The sax player is fit too >:D< "Valerie" was awesome, and it is still the best version!!!!!!!!!!!!! "You will you won't" to finish was great. Cheers for the ticket Anna, I owe you several drinks! :)-D
  12. Rain King - Counting Crows
  13. 14. No worries Anna ;-) I have "You will you won't" - The Zutons in my head having seen them belt it out last night!
  15. SteveT Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The ones I have employed have all been excellent > workers, the only disadvantage is, they 'go > walkabout' after a year or so, How the hell do you get them to work for a year first, most of oz mates have gone to a walkabout within hours of landing!
  16. If they sound like they're talking about sex when they're saying six, they're kiwi.
  17. MelbourneGr Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Tip: avoid using laptop keyboard, mouse and screen > whenever possible. In other words, buy a proper computer! ;-)
  18. James Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Offer her some sugar cubes (but remember to keep > your hand flat) LOL!!! You bitch! >:D< I met Princess Margaret (RIP), who I actually thought was quite cool. She came to a big service in St Paul's to mark the Tercentanary of my school, and we played a fanfare for her.
  19. I just had to call and arrange for a tree to be removed from out front of an elderly lady's house, as it was blocking all her light (she has poor sight and light is important), and also leaning over her front garden. Feel quite guilty about it, it's not like just picking a flower is it!
  20. I just can't stop loving you - Maichael Jackson
  21. Of course the charity workers recommend giving your cash to the charities, how else will they get paid? Selfish gits!
  22. Lot of good that did then. I don't understand why the number 10 petition thing exists, because is is a bloody waste of time!!!
  23. Agree with Mattham RE steaks. I have made a bit of a rule with myself not to order it, because all the best ones I've ever had have been cooked by me or by friends. Cast iron griddle, sorted!
  24. A really good cr?perie like this one in Bordeaux. Mmmmm Galettes!
  25. Are you getting adverts popping up, even when you haven't opened explorer? I got AdAware Away, which cost ?20 odd quid, but sorted everything for me.
