  1. I'm not a bif fan of poetry either, but that said, I love song lyrics which I guess you could call poetry, but it's the fact they're in a song that makes them great. Mrs Keef is an English nut, and loves poetry, and if she listens to a song, she'll listen to words first, tune second, which is the opposite to me.
  2. Another option might be The Coppleston Centre, they were always a strong family church. Also I believe St Clement's has a much younger congregation these days.
  3. TT, I think there's a big difference between ticking a box, and actually sitting in church every Sunday pretending you're in to it. We've all lied on application forms, it's part of the fun ;-)
  4. Not having a honeymoon, but it's the day after the wedding, and undertanding and accomodating as Mrs Keef is, I suspect that might be pushing my luck a bit ;-)

    Great Gigs

I saw Snow Patrol there. Agree it's a good venue and sh!ts on Wembly, but it's too big for me. I never go to gigs if I have to sit down, and the security in the standing area don't seem to think you should enjoy yourself at a gig.
  6. How does the wild card work? I'm annoyed as I brought in Fabrigas and then left him on the bench by accident!
  7. I suspect it may be something to do with the fact that I picked a half injured team and only made changes last week. i actually had a pretty good weekend, but I fear I may be too far behind to avoid relegation...
  8. It's a gift.

    Great Gigs

Alas you're not wrong. I still call it my favourite venue, but probably due to some great memories. It has gone right down hill though, and now the O2 is up and running, the academy doesn't attract many good acts. Shame.
  10. JD all the way.
  11. You have to love the SLP, I wonder where they got the idea for that story ;-)
  12. Good for you Erno's Dad. And Catgirl, you're spot on. If someone chooses to get married in the "sight of God", or expresses wishes to have a Christian funeral, that is their choice, and the guests will attend because that person is important to them. It does not mean that the guests have pretensions towards religion. As far as I'm concerned, attending church to gain a school place is not only hypocritical, but also rather disrespectful to those people who go to church because they have a genuine belief.
  13. Alan, are you a Camber, a cambwelian, a or a camberwell'ard (that would be my choice)?

Have it on vid somewhere, will dig it out for you at the next drinks.

  16. I thought it was pretty good, don't listen to them.

Yep. Denzil Washington plays the lead role, and is very good in it! Really really sad story too!

Totally with you there! It was also a pretty good film despite John Hannah's awful attempts at a Canadian accent.
  22. LadyG I promise I didn't copy, I was too hungover to focus and see what you wrote ;-)
  23. Fair play, I was only asking in case you went to the same as me, as we're the same age.

Do not get me started on him! It's an issue between Mrs Keef and I.
  25. The cheesecake I had for desert was bloody tasty! I really like the place, would go so far as to say it's my second favourite place in ED behind the CPT.
