You land on a category (object, people, action, place and a couple of others), and then have to try and describe as many of that category as you can in the alloted time. The egg timer goes very quickly, so you don't get through that many cards each go. Also, like in Pictionary, you have "All Plays", where one person describes, but anyone from any team can guess and take control of the game. It a great laugh, especially when drunk and/or stoned!

I love that quote!!! "I never forget a face, but in your case I'll make an exception" The same fella

I didn't mean waving to random strangers, I find that a bit weird too. I meant people that you've been waiting at the bar with in pubs, or exchanged a few words with during a footy match or something like that. Not exactly friends, but they'll give you a nod. I have definitely noticed it in ED, and I like it. Only other place I've had that was Wavertree in Liverpool.

I love Articulate!!!!!! (sorry *bob*) It's similar format to Pictionary, but you speak instead of draw.

One name being banded about is Mr Sven!!! I'm not sure anyone in the world was surprised Jah. They're saying he'll walk away with around ?25m, and he'll be able to pick his next job after a couple of months holiday, and a bit of comedt TV work, so not bad really. Good on him I say. Never really had a problem with him, my main problem with Chelski has been the "fans" that have come out of the wood work. I remember one particular girl in the pub with her boyfriend. He was obviously a fan, but she had the shirt on, and gave us sh!t for the whole 90 minutes (they beat Liverpool), really really in our faces. I've never wanted to punch a girl in the face before that moment. Saw her again when they played Liverpool in the Champs League... Much better evening.

"The cause was too hopeless, governments too apathetic" Well thats that then, lets all go for a burger and await our judgement...

My name isn't Keef.

Agree on most of those, but the general housing isn't the prettist. Always remember going out with a girl when I was about 15, she lived in Chalk Farm (next stop after Camden on the Northern Line) and when she came to ED she laughed and said it looked like some sort of seaside retirement village! Bitch!

Quite right! No problem with people going to church, but to go just to get a school place is disgusting in my opinion!

I'm changing mine, now I've given it some thought, and want it to be more serious... 1. The CPT (plus other bars a suppose, but CPT is best) 2. Good place to have a family, and good primary schools for the youngsters. 3. The 176 bus... Runs 24 hours reasonably regularly. Not always the nicest experience in the world, but can still get you in to/out of town at any time, and take me home to Sydenham when I'm p!ssed at 3am. 4. Hornimans Museum and Gardens. SusyP is right, it is Forest Hill, but I have great memories of going there as a kid growing up in ED, and I still love it now. Gardens are beautiful, and views spectacular! 5. The fact that you will walk down the main road, and see people and exchange a hello or a wave. That's always nice, and I haven't seen it in Sydenham, and I'm damned sure Alan hasn't seen it in Camberwell... That said, ED is not pleasantsville. My against stays the same, it's expensive, and the buildings aren't the nicest. You can get a bigger, nicer place for the same money in several areas that are still close enough for you to make use of all the good bits of ED.

Good work!

Sorry DM, I did say "he" to try and cover for you.

Yeah I'm not sure I can see that working out... Are Hearts still owned by that mental Lithuanian who sacked everyone last year? Beatty was good at Southampton, but rubbish for Everton (bless him). Maybe he just likes white and red strips... Oh dear, Sunderland might take him off your hands in the window...

How weird, Android that was going to be my next post. It started as The Kids of Degrassi Street or something like that, and then went on to Junior High, and dealt with issues like sex (and how you shouldn't have it), and bras... I looked on youtube and found a scene that I actually remembered clearly when the boys were being very mean to a girl about her first bra, and shouted "you're so flat the walls are jealous", only for her mates to throw him in the swimming pool... Hmm, TV brass.

Piers and Brendan, I don't think the Catholic church has a problem with it, I think his mum was a nutter! Agree with Brendan RE mongrels, they're great, and MUCH more intellegent! Spread the gene pool, or you'll end up like the royals (nicking a bit of Izzard there).

I don't agree with using animals to produce as many pups as possible for you to sell, I think that is bad. But don't have a problem with people selling pups if they find themselves with a litter they can't handle. I always remember an Irish friend of mine telling me his mum wouldn't have the cat sorted at the vets because of her catholicism, so instead she'd be down the river with a bag on a regular basis... Now which is more "christian"? I think I'd rather those animals had been sold for a few quid.

Strachan was great when he was at Coventry, Keegan only great for the famous "I'd love it if we beat them" outburst. Forgot about 'arry, and yes he's cool. Always liked Paul Jewel (sp?) until last season when he started moaning about stuff after every game. He started off with some good points, but then got in to the habit, and was moaning about things that he was the only person in the world to have seen. Used to like Warnock, but really disappointed with the way he slagged of Rafa, and is still holding a grudge. Hope he takes over Crystal Palace so he can get promoted and then taste relegation again!

Don't remember Captain Britain, was he a rip off of Capt America by any chance? I have always been a Spiderman fan, which is why at my age I was still excited when they made the films (and think they've been quite true to the comics). And yes, I do remember Spiderwoman but there were different versions of her, one with a Spideman type outfit, and another with a dark outfit and white hair if memory serves. Aaaaanyway, back on the TV theme, one of my favourites from my early teens on Sunday mornings (I think) Saved by the bell! I so fancied Kelly, and actually thought Zak and Slater were pretty cool... Oh Dear.

*Bob* Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > They're no better than idiotic abbreviated text messages or putting a hundred > exclamation marks after every sentence!!!!!!! I can be rather guilty of the exclamation mark thing. However, they are not as annoying as text language "alrt m8, c u in pb l8r" What? I never use text speak, because I find it hard enough to read, and by the time I've worked out what I want to write, I may as well just write the word.

Think you could be right there Ted! Sean and Ladygooner, settle down. You did very well, and are looking great, but it's a bit early on to be getting hopeful yet surely. Also, whilst you were great last night, lets not forget that you've not had a "great" start to the season, in that you've had to grind out results (not that that is a bad thing, so long as you get the points) in games were you looked the worse side... Please don't get me wrong, I'm not at all anti Arsenal, but your lot do seem to get very ahead of themselves when they have a couple of good results. You should try supporting Liverpool for a couple of seasons, and you'll soon learn not to expect too much however promising things look! As for Jose, I'm genuinely gutted to see him go. There were things that would annoy me about him, in that he could never take his hat off to a team and say fair play, you beat us (Barca & Liverpool), but he was a character, and always good value. I love Rafa, but he's not that sort of person. Whilst Ferguson and the French version Wenger are just dull. I'd say Jol and O'Neil are the best characters left. Can't stand Moyles, or "Big Sam"!

1 The Public Bar at the CPT 2 The Lounge Bar at the CPT 3 The various other drinking establishments on the main road 4 Seems a great place to raise a family, and you'll have no shortage of peers in that department 5 Good kebab shops for late night drunken munchies (God I didn't think it would be this hard to think of 5 god reasons). Against You'll get more for your money in a surrounding area (see thread New East Dulwich)

lordship_bod Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > i dont know an awful lot > about schools but i dont think that they are that > great? (i'm taking about the state schools here).. I think they're a mixed bag. A good friend of mine worked in a local school a couple of years ao and told me it was absolutely awful and advised Mrs Keef (a teacher) to avoid it. Mrs Keef did some work in another school last year though, and said it was great. Biggest shame is that they're probably going to close Brent Knoll which is a special school that Mrs Keef worked in for most of last year. They are fantastic, and offer great support from kids from primary through secondary, with autism and other needs. But Lewisham in their knowledge have decided that these kids will be better off in mainstream classes of 30, with a couple of mornings a week one to one.... Go Bless the money men
