  1. You're a f**king weirdo mate, stop trying to wind people up!
  2. You got in there before me Clare... Mourinho gone, that's just not right, he obviously wouldn't be the puppet they wanted... Oh well, what a shame >:D
  3. You have wicked taste in comics!!!

The best game released on the Gamecube! Sean, it had to be done, there were 3 different Gods to fight, and you got a great ending after the third... Okay, I'm sad :-S
  5. Totally right, espeially when you see special effects which would have been great 20 years ago, but are laughable now.

    emoticons

My snobbery comment was aimed at the fella from the article, no one on here. Maybe they've become so common now, that they're expected, so if you don't use one people will take you seriously because they think "if he was joking, he would have thrown a ;-) on the end of that".
  7. I used to love Huckleberry Finn!!! It went on for ever though. Sean I looked at those clips, and Box of Delights was definitely the one I was thinking of!!! Funny how you just have a fragment of memory for something. Every xmas I hear the first noel, and I think about that programme with the kid and the magic box, now I will know what I'm remembering. Cheers!

    emoticons

Exactly right Andrew, emails and texts have made us all in a rush to say what we want to say, and emoticons make it easier to get your meaning across. It's just snobbery to suggest that someone who choses to use one is not able to express themselves through words. I think they're fun particularly :-S , :)-D and >:D< I got burnt once when I sent a "dry" email to a good female friend of mine who had just postponed a lunch date. I said something like "you could break a mans heart letting him down like that" and I could hear myself saying it in the way it was meant. I later got a very long email from my friend "letting me down gently"... All rather embarrasing, and I have since been a big believer in ";-)" I'm still good friends with said lady by the way, and we've since laughed about it.
  9. It is good to hear that people are letting their kids play out. I used to play out all the time around Whateley/Ulverscroft Roads, and it was great!

    Last Night

Yeah, I was there earlier, and probably had more of a chat to MP than I've ever had the chance to at the busier forum drinks. Good to see you sir!

Piers, did you complete Eternal Darkness THREE times THREE times THREE times? ;-)
  12. Arsenal 2 - 1 Sevilla Sporting 1 - 2 Manc scummers (Rooney will come on and get the winner, then say something like "The big mans back")

    Kennedy's Sausages

Reminds me of the lovely pie shop in Greenwich closing down a while ago for a fecking GBK!!! Grrr
  14. Do really want to try that place out. Careful you don't rate it too much though, or people will be convinced you're the owner ;-)
  15. Charlotte Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > So Keef are you saying you spend more time in > Dulwich than Sydenham - me too!! Pretty much... Trying to have more nights in, but if I'm out, then it's usually in Dulwich. All my friends are in Dulwich, and I haven't really made an effort to make friends in Sydenham because it's so easy to nip down the hill to see the Dulwich lot... They on the other hand are lazy gits, and NEVER come and visit me, unless Mrs Keef bribes them with home made pizza!
  16. I think he's gone and found it! Good work that man!!! Will have to watch the vid clips when I get home! >:D
  17. Hell, those evenings sound great even if the programme is sh!t... :)-D
  18. I think Rafa is still making up his mind on his best 11... I also think he thought they'd get an easy win at Portsmouth (foolish), and fielded a weakened team with the champs league in mind. Good luck to Spurs tomorrow, really want them to pick things up and take the presure off Jol, who is a great manager, and doesn't deserve all this sh!t... Darren Bent (who I'm a big fan of) needs to start justifying his transfer fee! Back to Portsmouth, sitting in a pretty good position having played the top 4 in their opening 6 games... Easy from now on ;-)

    Kennedy's Sausages

Kennerdy's sausages are the dogs bo!!ocks (hopefully not literally, but you never know). Shame they're closing.
  20. You're right about the final result, I'm happy enough with the draw, but thought we looked messy, and could have done better. Oh well.

Well The Railway on the bridge is a friendly Irish run pub, where I've watched a few games of footy (big Liverpool fan base in there), but not really somewhere I'd go all the time. The Red Lion further down the high street is a really nice traditional pub, but I've been a CPTer for so long, I can't be arsed taking the time to become a regular in a new place, when I can be at the CPT in 15 minutes on the bus... That said, I love the CPT for the people, including the staff who are amongst my good friends, and when they go, I might not be so bothered to make the journey...
  22. RE The emmies, surely it was a mark of respect for The Sopranos following it's grand finale in America. The Wire will have other chances.
  23. 3 pints of Kronenberg, surely that shouldn't be enough to have an effect??? I personally can't stand tuna, more a chicken and stuffing man >:D< I would so so so so so love a guitar shop on Lordship Lane, but as you say Jah, chances are slim!

    Could you?

  25. But Honor Oak is so dull, nothing happens there, people just travel through it. Just another quick point on Sydenham, it's such a shame to see The Greyhound on Cobs Corner all boarded up. It hasn't been the best place in the world over the last few years, but it's a lovely building, and it has a huge car park where they could have farmers markets or something like that... However, I suspect in a years time, there will be a block of flats there. :(
