  4. Mmmmm scratchings.... >:D< So so so wrong, but still rather tasty :-S

Agreed with Mockney RE the Vale. When it first opened, we had some classic nights down there, and for a while would stumble down there almost weekly, and between us we must have put literally thousands in to the owner's pocket (that is not an exaggeration). Yet, they were rude to us, they threw a couple of people out for doing things that they actually weren't doing (not when they were accused of it anyway). They're horrible little men who think they are something special! (td)

Exactly! I have nothing against the Bishop at all as a place, but can't stand it at the weekends cos I don't like very busy places, I value my personal space! I've said before that I don't believe in class... FnB, Mockney and myself all met and became friends through the CPT, and none of us will go near The Vale! ;-)
  9. Apologies, no offence intended. It was sort of tongue in cheek, although I do hope he gets locked up if he's the right man!

I mentioned Dodgeball on another thread, and that's reminded me of Fran Stalinofskivichdavidovitchsky! Sean will know what I'm talking about ;-) David's post that is.
  11. Cool, lets have another class row... Smokers can be working class thick people, and non smokers can be middle class clever people... What fun!!! ;-)

Door men? The Bishop seems to have managed....

    And that woman is jaywalking!!!!
  14. Oh, and the school with the horrific green blazer (Deptford green maybe???). And maybe Bacons
  15. Back in my day (90's) East Dulwich boys mainly went to Forest Hill Boys, Thomas the apostle, or Aske's (Haberdashers). At that time, Charter was definitely a no go!!!!!!
  16. Yeah, I would be man!
  17. Yes, but the non smokers used to have the option of staying away from a smokey place and going somewhere non smokey... The smokers however can't choose to go somewhere smokey, so it is no choice at all. I'm starting to confuse myself :-S Like I say, there could have been a decent compromise... I don't want to contribute to anyone else's untimely demise, and I'm glad that some people I know will be more likely to come down the pub now... However, when it's pi$$ing down with rain, I want somewhere dry to have a fag! Heed my words, in 5 years time figures will show that pneumonia and hypothermia have overtaken heart desease and lung cancer as the biggest killers of smokers!!!!! :-S
  18. I remember my cousin telling about 7/7... She was on the train behind the one that was bombed at Kings X... She was told by her office (very big law firm) to come in to work ASAP!!! Later that day there was a bomb scare, and she received a memo telling her to lower her bomb blind and continue working!!!!! She has since left the firm!
  19. That vid is classic, the way his head spins around at the start of the chorus is amazing, how did he not mess his neck up?!?!? Surely he's abusing his position of trust though... Especially with a vulnerable adult! B) Oh, and that girls white cane technique is all wrong!!!!! ;-)

*Is excited that smoking is still allowed in the quiet room* *Sparks up* *Walks around the room blowing smoke at all the non smokers*
  21. Well Jah, last time I saw you you were kind enough to share your Zombie.... Maybe it's actually an evil potion that turns you in to the undead!!! (6) I too feel pretty mashed up today!!! Was very proud of myself yesterday for leaving the pub at a sensible time... Only to get home and discover drink in the fridge and a TV...... Fool!!!!! :(
  22. By a burning car? ;-)
  23. I appreciate that for a non smoker, a smokey place wasn't nice. However, it was always my opinion that they knew a pub was a smokey place, and they could either go there or stay away... They had the option, something that us lepers haven't had. Yesterday sucked balls, having to leave my party to go and smoke, and having 2 at a time to make the trip seem worth it, I smoked more than I usually bloody do!!!! There could have been a decent compromise, and there wasn't. Oh, and Mark, just because someone doesn't smoke, I don't think you can assume that they'd automatically vote for a ban on it... That's like saying that all vegetarians would ban the use of meat in restaurants.

Ah the Swan, a place that holds disturbing memories for most of us.... I'm sure Mrs Keef told me she fell down a flight of stairs in there on more than one occasion.... That's my girl! :)-D

Careful now Oh bloody hell, I remember going on a very very stomach churning ride there a year or 2 back with a certain Mrs Mockney... Not good for a hangover at all!!! Mrs Mockney wasn't enjoying being spun around in the air, and she wanted me to know this! ;-)
