See this thread As I said earlier, it didn't spark quite the same outrage as having a pop at pregnant people. Jrussel chose his target well.
-
Word! Proper crap telly, but fun.

I thought it was interesting, and quite moving last night when Emmanuel Adebayor was talking about the attack on the Tongo team bus earlier this year. He's heading home now though, so no more of him.
-
Why should they be above critisism? Last night wasn't a poor performance, it was absolutely f**king shite! Rooney was moaning, but he was amongst the worst of them. As I said before, the crowd was trying to lift them, singing the anthem, and trying to get behind them, but after 90 minutes of that, you can't call someone a moron for venting a bit. If a boo hurts their feelings that much, they need to bloody well grow up.
-
You'd not be here if she hadn't been, so not so lucky for the rest of us.
-
I'm ceetainly not calling for anyone's head, I'm just saying that if I'd spent a fortune to be there last night, I'd have wanted the players to know what I thought AFTER the final whistle.
-
So the paying fans should not be able to voice their opinion? Just can't agree with you Anna. These players are very well paid, and live like kings for being good at a game. When they play like they did last night, they need to hear that it's not good enough.
-
I don't think there was booing during the match, the fans were trying to lift the team. As far as I'm concerned, the booing after the match was deserved. What an absolute load of shite! Not just a bad day at the office, something was very wrong about that team last night.

BBC reorting that Green will be dropped in favour of James. T be fair, James was given the number 1 shirt from the beginning, you wonder if Green was only picked for the USA match because James wasn't fully fit. I think he's the manager's number 1 choice, and Green failed to steal his spot when given the ideal chance.

What are pregnant women doing on the trains and buses during rush hour anyway? Surely they've got no bussiness going to work!
-
Much as it's nice to see the Germans lose, I do hope we don't win our group, only to find they've ended up second in theirs!
-
Loving your work m'lady! Come on though, does anyone here actually think jrussel is serious? He may have a gripe about this, but he has clearly posted on here because he enjoys the occasional bit of trolling. You should have put this in the Family Room jrussel, you'd have really gotten off on the responses you'd have got there.
-
Predictable responses on here rom people rising to the bait. To be fair, a while ago someone stated a thread called "should fat people pay extra on the bus" or something like that, and people thought it was really rather funny. Mention pregnant people in ED though, and you're guaranteed to get a rise.

As Quids might say... 1/10 - Lacks originality and subtlety.
-
Mrs Keef was told by a South African friend of ours that her arse wasn't fat, so she was having a boy. We had a girl, so either the friend was being kind, and her arse was indeed fat, or more likely, it's a complete load of bo!locks.

Bloody Sunday.....Official Inquiry to be published 15 June

I agree with you, but one could argue, that at the time, the "terrorists" would claim that they were "at war", and that the killings were not murder, but military losses. In which case, surely they should be willing to apologise for things if they expect the British army to. Basically this whole thing was a monumental f**k up, followed by a monumental cover up. It is a shameful day in our recent history, and I'm glad it's been acknowledged. As for the justice thing, as I said, it's just a personal thing about that word. I don't think any justice has been done here, I think the truth has finally come out, and a lot of names have been cleared 38 years too late. "Justice" would have been the truth coming out at the time, and a few court martials. -
o, Spain lose their first match. Suddenly a draw for England isn't loking so bad... Shame however that England don't have the players Spain have. Has been a funny set of opening matches really, quite a few surprises. South Africa Vs Uruguay should be interesting.

why do people think they can say anything when you're pregnant!
Keef replied to reren's topic in The Family Room Discussion
With regards the giving up your seat on the bus/tube thing, someone posted THIS in the lounge section a while ago. Mrs Keef was once surrounded by a group of yoots in the street, but one of them decided she was pregnant (she wasn't at the time). She came to meet me, and said she wasn't sure whether to be releived at not being mugged, or just plain mortified. -

That has been discussd on the radio today SCSB79, and one could argue that there should be full enquiries in to a lot of incidents, but with this one costing ?192m, I can't see it happening in a rush. MM and Brendan, I get your points, but for me it's still just the truth, and "justice" doesn't come in to it. But as Brendan says, it's only the families of the victims who can really decide, and if they feel they've had justice, then good on them. -

The thing that gets me about this, as well as the Hillsborough Disaster, and a few other things, is the calls for "Justice". Yesterday, they were saying at last we have "justice". To me, what they have is "the truth", which would also seem to be what the Hillsborough families are (quite rightly) after. Just can't get my head around the use of the word "justice" in asking for the truth. Probably shouldn't bug me so much, but it does. As an aside, there is a lot of talk today about real legal justice being sought in this case, particularly after a soldier who shot at least 3 people that day, and who has seemingly lied on several occasions, including to this very enquiry. -
So, anyone had problems with an xbox refusing to read any game disks? I'd not played it for a while, but turned it on on Sunday, and played for an hour, no probs (although I did think it was slightly slow). Yesterday I turn on, and it just wont read disks. It will read an audio CD, but not a game or DVD. My daughter has been pressing the on/off button a bit when we've taken our eyes off her, but can't really see how that would damage it. It definitely hasn't had anything spilled on it or anything like that. Have tried a lens cleaner disk, which has made no difference. Any ideas? Could it be something as simple as a setting that's been changed accidently, or do I need to go and have it looked at, which will probably cost as much as I paid for it?

Mrs Keef got very fed up at work, as everyone assured her she wouldn't get to April (due date was the 13th), and that there was absolutely no doubt it would be a boy. When our daughter was born with a bit of help, 15 days after the due date, I think Mrs Keef wanted to go in to work just to say "f**k you all!!!!". -
Carragher is too old for this, and is not what he used to be. I used to feel gutted that he couldn't hold down a place in the team, as 4/5 years ago, I thought there was a case for calling him the best centre back we had. Time has caught up with him though, and I don't really feel he should be there. That said, we don't have a lot of choice anymore. Thought Heskey done very well. Shame he missed a good chance, but he was not alone in that.
