  1. I had a good laugh at that this morning. She was on the radio trying to justify it but not doing a very good job.

    April Fools

I'm surprised that august enterprise hasn't yet appeared on our very own forum.
  3. Don't go here if you plan on getting any work done today. http://www.sporcle.com/games/
  4. That's disappointing news. Good luck with getting it all sorted soon. I'm really looking forward to some Vietnamese food.
  5. "Our faith in liberal democracy is a mighty weapon [...] The hand of fate has fallen into our laps, and we refuse to spend the Greatest Intellectual Struggle of Our Time tucked out of sight or stuck in the rear." Good stuff. Raised a chuckle and helped delay the onset of work for a little while.

  10. I may well be along.
  11. This thread worries me somewhat. And also, who's that up there only one letter different from me!? Woe! This will lead to all sorts of confusion.
  12. Och aye the gnu. *gets coat*

  15. An interview with Alan Dale. Our Alan Dale? http://arts.guardian.co.uk/theatre/drama/story/0,,2259974,00.html
  16. I always use Maceys these days. I had to get a repeat prescription for my youngest daughter for a few months a while back - not the sort of stuff any chemist would usually keep hanging about either - and they were always very good about getting it ordered in plenty of time so that she never ran out. They even went the extra mile to make sure they got it in a flavour she'd actually swallow rather than spit out. I'd say they're well organised and thoughtful. Much better than the chemist opposite the library, who've just seemed downright odd every time I've been in there. The only other one I've ever used is the Co-op who seemed OK.

A small french onion soup from Eat, with a bit of brown breat. Banana. Apple.
  18. Survived the early childcare shift relatively intact. Am now finally having my first cup of tea and sit down of the day.
  19. Just finished rereading The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks. Am about to start In Defence of Food by Michael Pollan.

  21. Today I, um... well... nothing of note. Childcare, correspondence, admin... I even did a little work too.
  22. *peers* Is that a youthful Cheryl Baker?
  23. Definitely relax. Getting a book published is a slow process. If you can get used to that now, this early on, so much the better as it will save you a lot of stress down the line. Did I mention that publishing a book is slow? Sloooooooooooow.
  24. Spencer had some airborne laundry in his stream I think.
