Ever since moving to ED almost three years ago I've been wondering how come there's no cinema. OK, so there's one in Peckham, and the Ritzy over in Brixton, but surely if ever there was an area where a cinema could make good money it's ED. Since coming to this forum I've learnt that there used to be one up by the roundabout, where the boxy flat for key workers are. Does anyone know more about when it closed down? What do people think of the chances of a new cinema opening in ED?

Is this for eating in or can we vote for takeaways too? I've had food delivered from Spice Club that I've really liked, but I've never been there and I'm not even sure where it is. Otherwise, probably a toss-up between Tandoori Nights and Surma, but I'd have to do some (ahem) research before choosing between them. Have never tried Coriander, but I'll definitely give it a go after reading about it here.

I know it's around there, but it might not be the same place. I'll have a look next time I'm down that way. Those chimneys have got me baffled too - although until I came here I'd always imagined they were pilings/foundations for something to sit on that was never built. Inbetween them and the bricked-up house is that crumbling old building that looks like it was a school. Perhaps they're all connected somehow? The whole area looks like it's ripe for demolition and rebuilding.
