  1. Brendan, dis you ever work out who the 1970s Jesus & Mary Chain were?
  2. Bit of weird one this. Criminals names are normally released, so really the difference between this and other terribly abusive parents is media interest. The judge was making a statement in doing this but it seems self-defeating if he knows all it will result in is bloody expensive identity change, lifelong protection type stuff. Don't know really, we shouldn't need to make exceptions, but that's the world we live in. Do these guys deserve our protection, absolutely not, but thankfully we live in a society where the application of law is as impartial as we (fallible humans) can make it, and for that I am indeed grateful.
  3. Ooh, Exorcist 3, a far superior sequel to the woeful 2. I don't think any film has made me physically jump out of the sofa like a scene in there. Altogether a pretty good film, especially as sequels go.
  4. Very true, but it's being done to death (forgive the pun) a bit, and thus has fed through to the survival horror genre in gaming too. Oh no, it's a girl with long black hair *yawn*. That doesn't lessen the impact of those Japanese, Korean, Malay etc horrors when they broke though, chilling, intelligent and scary.
  5. Or the other way round...
  6. Very true Simon. Actually WMTD may think he's taking the piss, but is he aware that scooby doo is based on the Texas Chainsaw Massacre?
  7. Thought wolf creek was excellent. It had a real feel about the heydey of the slasher flick (late seventies early eighties). The recent spate of remakes are too polished, too slick and lack any personality. The classics always had a grain of dark humour, a kernel of social commentary. Wolf Creek definitely had the former, I'll have to think about the latter. It was good though and really scary!!!!! 'that's's not a knife'
  8. Oh i do hope not, it was a bit pants wasn't it.
  9. Hard to match the Third Man in my book, and basically anything from the thirties and forties noir period is just perfect. Ooh, White Heat, the original gangster psycho!!
  10. Which bring us neatly to Severance, team building exercise goes horribly wrong. Gory, occasionally good scares and very funny. Very very silly but couldn't help enjoying it.
  11. 2 was gash?!? What about the first? Dreadful. It should have been called the bickering students play where's my map project. Dull, tedious and not in the least bit scary.
  12. I was quite the horror buff between about 12 and 16. Then kind of fell out wih the genre, though it did go throgh a bit of a lull. Sixth sense helped kick off an interest in Hollywood and the success of the eastern horrors helped too. Looking forward to seeing that Swedish vampire flck, and spain has had an an irregular but quality line in horror for many many years. For the record romero and raimi were my boyhood heroes.
  13. Really? Enlighten us.
  14. Don't worry normal service has resumed. *sighs* ladies' bottoms...
  15. Would I do lights, kights or just damn shmights?
  16. Might I add that I'm not me................necessarily. Or Am I ? Still. Cunts the lotofem.
  17. Look, all I'm trying to say is that I've recently used foxtons, and that I'd like to post about it. I'm very much aware that there's been previous threads on this issue, but I have no interest in revisiting them. I've used this estate agents recently and just wanted to post my experience, inky own thread. Not looking to flame, not looking to irritate, just want to post my thoughts, but I feel I can't as I'll be told by all and Sunday that this has been discused before, use the search engine, and start a slagging match that I'll never respond to. But damn your etiquette, why shouldn't I be able to post what I want, and why can't those that have seen it all before just leave it. Why? :(
  18. Ease up there chappie, nowt wrong with rhubarb. Soooooo Foxtons, I gather an issue?
  19. Fuck off you cunt that's not the point I'm trying to make!
  20. Rhubarb and custard, made some home made, lovely
  21. I'm liking Ben Ohbione Ben, it almost looks Irish too !!
  22. Serendipity. Not cusack's best ht a long shot but he just helps make films better. The fact that Kate beckinsale is in it makes an ostensibly naf film utterly watchable. Rachel weisz has the same effect (jude law the opposite one making the enemy at the gates a confusing experience for me). What's the Brendan burns in a time vault thanks to crazy walken dad, gets out meets Alicia silverstone? Feel good guilty pleasure anyway.
  23. Whoops 100110. Well spotted on the deliberate mistake there sir *ahem*
  24. My mate is cooking me din dins there. Could meet you up that way instead of course. (not a euphemism I might add)
  25. Oooh cooooool. I was in the pub. Mind you i am quite sad, I'm all excited that my baby's due date is 101010.
