  1. If a tournament has good football then it's a joy to watch, partisanship be damned. England have been embarrassing and painful to watch since about 1996. They're always less than the sum of their parts and perennial underachieving, overpaid tosspots. Luckily I have Spain to suppport...... ....DOH!!!!!
  2. any Iast minute additions would be muchlj appreciated. Wandsworth Common
  3. double counting. Possibly back to 10 now though
  4. New ross is 5 miles away, wexford is 30, so I'll go with the former ;)
  5. Wexford town or New Ross?
  6. (tu) ANd yes, Hoopers is more like a village pub than a rough and ready pub.
  7. generally not hanging around, muff akimbo, in the Gowlett in all fairness. Must have been a very surreal sight. Not unlike the time a completely naked man cycled past Mrs Mockers and I in Cambridge one afternoon, it not the nakedness per se, it the sheer incongruity of it all.
  8. Agreed Jah. A good FA cup final is a rarity (unless West Ham is involved obviously). This has the makings of a classic as long as both teams want to win rather than be afraid of losing, and lets face it, its a rare rare appearance for either. CARPE DIEM!!!!
  9. de-la - cmmmm - nnn - a - wnn - gorrr - hommm
  10. I would hasten to add that there are usually last minute drop outs, and anyone who was thinking of coming, do do come along despite the apparent full-strength team above. Plus I'll no doubt be hobbling at some point, so a substitution could be on the cards.
  11. I like 'em, and am happy tp frequent the castle from time to time. "Gar?on, I say gar?on, a soup?on of your finest stout please my good fellow" I like to say when I go in. How they chuckle!!!!
  12. You're doing the SLP's job again Brendan earwigo: Leg 1 of 2 Sun 18 May Denmark Hill (DMK) to Battersea Park (BAK) Departs Arrives Duration 10:53 11:02 0:09 Leg 2 of 2 Sun 18 May Battersea Park (BAK) to Wandsworth Common (WSW) Departs Arrives Duration 11:12 11:18 0:06 In all fairness the sydenhamite practically lives in the CPT. Right, any chances of spouses and pals hoiking cool boxes of beer, half time oranges and pie? (I'll be doing the first)
  13. I was planning on "experienc[ing] the full D-Day experience" and should be having my innards strewn across Juno beach, thus unable to attend. Clearly preferable to going to the vale of course.
  14. match details from the KRCC http://www.krcsc.co.uk/match.php
  15. For some evil reason: "starrrr trekking, across the universe..."
  16. One of my colleagues reported seeing a 'host' of people by the nets last night when she was running. Good work, how many of you were there?
  17. Seriously, why wuold anyone be inspired by Liam ?g's. I just get scared. Is that the one your brother ran briefly?
  18. cool. My brother does, but has moved to the annals(sic) of Norwood, so no chance there then. Mind you, might try and get him as a ringer, he's a pretty tidy cricketer.
  19. As it's summer (or at least it was)
  20. The Herne it is then, nice.
  21. I do like the clean look of the forum, avatars can get pretty garish, especially when people start using flashing ones and all. Plus I rather like that personality comes across from the writing, rather than selecting an image to represent you. I would of course be Zoltar (from battle of the planets) MWAH HAH HAH HAH
  22. Our team didn't haev much in the way of equipment or appropriate dress last year, I'm hoping the KRCC will be ok with that.
  23. We had a couple who could bowl last year, but I wasn't one of them. Was still a hair's breadth from getting a wicket though. Getting the ball to the other end is a pretty good start.
