  1. The rather wonderful Emmy the great with Two Steps Forward. Keep an eye out for her.
  2. I'm rather partial to all your food hells I'm afraid. Food Heaven, just about everything frankly, but here goes. Heaven Good quality Jamon Ib?rico (pata negra) with a glass of dry sherry. Fresh homemade bread, slice of tomato and onion, good quality olive oil, pinch of salt and black pepper. Juicy watermelon on a hot day. Hell I was scared of some food in Macao once, sort of boiled rice with seemingly freshly slaughtered chicken neck on it. Other than that I'm partial to most things. Can't really do rich and sweet stuff though.
  3. Ay. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?9,105983 http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,101970,page=1 http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,102617,page=1 Italian

  5. Not sure weather to file under damnably cool, or a bit pointless.
  6. Ha ha, fair enough, I'm with you on Mallrats too :)
  7. Nooooo, no the medical tests. I've a friend who's worked in the pharma industry, mostly in drug trials, for many years. He says all the good drugs are taken up in house. The ones left over for paid volunteers are referred to (quietly) as 2-headed monkey trials.
  8. I'm with you Keef, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is daft beautifully done. I actually found myself laughing very hard at Ali G Indahouse too, so I can do stupid, but Beerfest...hmmmm...Non.
  9. Ooh, we had really highbrow this weekend on RTE. Beerfest I can't believe it gets 6.2. I love so bad it's good as much as the next man, but this?!? As a wise imdb commenter said "it sucked balls"
  10. Blimey Anthony Minghella just popped his clogs. How sad, twas only a young'un.
  11. I twice said something on the lines of "what can you do, kids are kids really", and said I never blamed the family, but that doesn't mean ontheedge isn't entitled to a good night's sleep, come on get rid of that chip* on your shoulder. * whether -v- or -=-
  12. Understandably I have to now say that of course Irish girls in T-shirts are fab too or Mrs O'Mockney would kill me. actually she might yet do so after that!!
  13. seriously STB, unless you've experienced. It's not about tolerance in a bleeding heart liberal sort of fashion, it's a chinese water torture that drives you up the walls, no matter how understanding or reasonable you are. I'm sure there are laws about how much of a non ground floor is allowed to be un-carpeted, and I'm pretty sure there are minimum standards for soundproofing, so if you get no joy from the landlord you could probably push a bit harder. If you were renting I'd suggest moving up immediately, but obviously this isn't the case.
  14. Good Jewish name, so understandable ;-)
  15. What chance the boys in blue turning up on the 14th then? If they can arrest Basil Brush then surely no one is safe!!
  16. This is London's (the evening standard) forums. http://chat.thisislondon.co.uk/london/index.jsp
  17. Blimey, that's bonkers. I'd love to know the TiL figures. The EDF seems to have a much more active and vibrant (and less polarised) community if you ask me. Good work Mark!!
  18. Call me weird but my favourite hottie from Spooks was Ruth (Nicola Walker).
  19. Blimmin'eck it's cold. A couple of lively Mazaring numbers to liven us up on this bitterly cold morning. mazarin for energy infinite new american apathy
  20. My sympathies are with you ontheedge. When the missus and I first moved in together, the property (on east dulwich road) looked the part, newly done up, clean and bright. 3 weeks later the upstairs chaps got back from holiday and we soon realised the whole place had been done up on the cheap. That fake wood stuff had been laid everywhere and there was no underlay, in fact I'm not convinced there was any soundproofing between the floors at all. Every little footstep would actually cause ripples in a glass of water. Add 2 lively kids in to the mix and we almost cracked up. In fact we were so on edge the whole time that we almost broke up. It wasn't until we moved into a place with peace and quiet (and actually dark at night, the other place had blinds everywhere, and the other neighbours had a no curtains and a naked 1,000,0000 watt bulb that shone into our bedroom) that we realised we'd had no sleep in 5 months and had gone completely loopy. I've no idea what you can do, we never blamed the neighbours as what can you do, kids are kids really. We did mention it to their pops who was understanding, but again, what can you do? Best of luck and my heart goes out to you. Sorry I've not been more helpful.
  21. Who is this *name deleted* who has hacked your account Sean? You should log off on public computers you know.
  22. All welcome Kristy believe me, we only managed to field 9 last year and that was thanks to some last minute ringers!!
