  1. "outside" the news section?!?! What's with the qualifier snorky? and are you ever going to contribute to your dedicated thread for goodness sake?
  2. Yes, this is a giveaway "Tom, a blogger on eastdulwichforum.co.uk, notes that ?the once gym-honed, buff young things of Clapham would appear to be setting into their middle years quite well?. His suggestion that East Dulwich should be touted as the gastro capital of London might be slightly farfetched but the area, previously known only for its fried chicken, has certainly come a long way." Tom, you're famous; though looking at tit, wondering which of tom's posts contain any of that. Sheesh, lazy journalism in the flesh.

Do we know anyone that young? Ant's sister (not you Ant)?
  5. http://property.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/property/article1521914.ece I can't help but notice the 'coincidental' use of the name Freya. Have you anything to say about this Dulwichmum? It also feels like its been written by a lurker frankly
  6. Forum's halfth birthday? Brilliant, I may be tempted to break my lent alcohol abstinence. *clears throat*

Well what do we think about the mysterious 140183? Man, woman, someone's birthday, star wars droid denomination, terminator?
  8. As ever an antidote. It's friday so lets celebrate with some classic 70's funk!! Rahsaan Roland Kirk - Freaks for the festival* Yeah Baby! *hmm, it could be the theme for the forum drinks
  9. * jumps in air and clicks heel behind self in slightly camp manner, managing not to spill shampoo in the process * * nods to mark in gratitude, strolls out to celebrate, clean air and quality vintage champagne, raises glass to wasted days humming dodgy 90's europop rendition of Edelweiss *
  10. * eases on to coffee stained sofa, pulls out copy of Frank Miller's 300 * * hmm, big enough to conceal playboy, coool *

Of course snorky also went through a phase of saying 'word' in that strange fingers pointed, lost normal use of arms type way that youths are prone to these days. That's the problem with t'internet, alot of strange men out there pretending to be women, I don't see why the reverse shouldn't be true; my god we've even got two examples of severe egoanthropomorphism going on in our own fair forum, a fish and a dog who thinks it's the ides of march. Come back batdog, we miss you. That all said, yeah, you're probably right keef.

Difficult to say Polly. I first thought bloke, but(s)he has so many personae that I've lost count. But sometimes I lean toward lass. Today's one of those days.

The Forum would be a poorer place without snorky. As it goes I've become quite fond of her!
  14. Top stuff Shambles! Well, if it's classics we're doing, then here's two national treasures rolled into one. George Formby meets Half Man Half Biscuit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pz8HyJ7tbyk My god there are some weird things on youtube. Here's Eraserhead meets, you guessed it HMHB
  15. I liked Wagamamas when it first opened, but over the years it's got pricier and the servings smaller and the quality has dropped a tad (god, i'm sounding like snorky). Like a maccy d's it can still be the right place at the right time occasionally. I go to a fantastic little Vietnamese place in Camden on Parkway about a minute's walk from the wagamama's outside my office door and its far far superior and alot cheaper. If this sort of thing's your bag though, locally I highly recommend Buddha Jazz on Grove Lane too.
  16. Ha ha, very funny. I specifically chose ubon over nobu because the food's identical (it's a very posh chain after all), it's about thruppence ha'penny cheaper and it's not a haven for jumped-up egomaniac z list 'celebrities', but then I tend toward misanthropic at the best of times! I trust you attacked George Lucas with chopsticks in his eyes for his hideous betrayal of my childhood.
  17. * at risk of spoiling quiet room's tranquility * pots and kettles batdog * takes batdog for walk in garden *

  21. * reminisces time when Huguenot made a couple of points recently *
  22. * reels in amazement - thinks my god, Batdog may actually have a point * * ponders - is this a first? *
  23. My simon bedell dearstalker hat still doesn't appear in a google images search but it is the first hit on google So 50% success on that one. The forum is the first hit for east dulwich on google though.
  24. *curls up on sun lounger to enjoy the last of the sunshine before monday's snows* *whimpers pathetically before drifting off into dreamless sleep*
  25. Oh yes, it's all becoming clear now, dare I say, CrystalClear. I don't think I've actually done my fantasy LL yet.
