  1. Gawd - you made me get my pooter calculator out now. 443 month old 'should know better' Ma also in attendance. Blind leading the blind!
  2. Yey... looking forward to it.. and of course Ruth! And as it's right round the corner from our house, if we have any toilet or new clothes emergencies, you can come back to ours. What age will all the kiddies be - I'll only have one with me, our 4 month old Cassie.
  3. Hmmm - my late® night deduction assumes Monday might be a goer - anyone fancy the Herne (fab as it's at the end of our road) or the Florence on Monday some time?
  4. Oh Belle...great minds... (we crossed posts). I can't make tomorrow but next week would be fab - am free Monday and Thursday. Anyone else?
  5. Our littl-uns are about the same age - Cassie's 4 months tomorrow. And I am extremely partial to a medicinal G&T. I'd be happy/ecstatic to tear myself away from the gorg. Sid and Andy for a lunch/afternoon outing...does anyone fancy trying the Florence, with its new baby room?
  6. I wasn't a patron but after reading this thread (and to cheer myself up after daughter's 16 week jabs at DMC) I popped in. The Amaretto truffles are yummm! Pickle - what's a liquorice satin? My OH loves liquorice - but is used to the Australian stuff.
  7. I know a Rebecca with a son called Darcy...she's our neighbour....could you mean her?
  8. We're going to do the same thing. Our 2.75 year old is going to give them to the bin men on her 3rd birthday, in exchange for pressies including 'the bike'. We've managed to wean her to nights only and are happy with that as it's not affecting her speech. My friend did the 'handing them to the bin man' thing and it really worked for her. Good luck!
  9. Ah wonderful Cate - thank you.
  10. Thanks Gubodge - it's as if you were a fly on the wall last night. That's almost exactly what I said, but using slightly more fruity language.
  11. Oh and Belle - looks like we think the same. The clothes are outside airing, and I've just bought the relevant Stain Devil - fingers crossed,
  12. Ah Sanity Girl - I've tried that (and so has he). I've looked everywhere online and cannot find said items - close to same - but no bananas :'(
  13. Peckham Pulse jelly babies session. It was actually our babysitter who took her (she's a lifeguard too and teaches tots to swim).
  14. Well - my OH yesterday insisted that I varnish our 2.75 year old's 'special steps' in our garden, with said tot. It was a mostly successful exercise..except I forgot to change her out of her 'special Daddy-bought clothes' which she was wearing for her swimming lesson later on. So, although she had her Charlie and Lola pinnie on, she has varnish all over her Peppa Pig trackie bottoms and hoodie (bit of a 'brand' princess our little monster). My OH has truly spat the dummy on this one - seems to think I've done it deliberately (as if!). He straight away immersed all clothing in white spirits. Today i had strict instructions to boil wash the white clothing and then the coloured clothing to try and get it all out. Stupid me has boil washed the 'white-spirited' hoodie with some of our youngest's baby-gros and now they all stink of spirits. So.... - any ideas on how to get the smell out? - is the white spirit 'smell' dangerous for our 4 month old's skin? - any other ideas for removing the varnish (it doesn't seem to have budged)? Oh blimey blimey blimey - what a stinky nightmare.. Help really gratefully received xxxxx
  15. I have the answer - EUREKA! Our 2.75 year old daughter had her first proper swimming lesson yesterday. She stumbled home afterwards and slept for 14 hours solid! 4pm until 6am. WEY HEY!!
  16. Ah..oh dear I have another one as petrol pumps remind me. When I was much younger(and a new driver)I broke down my little Fiesta at a petrol pump on the forecourt of my local petrol station. My boss lived nearby so I got him to pick me up as I rang the RAC. The RAC arrived just as my boss did and told me that actually..... I had run out of petrol. :-$:-$:-$
  17. Toys R Us on Old Kent Road does it too.
  18. Ah yes, and I also locked my car keys inside my car and went to throw a brick through the window so I could get them back. I forgot to let go of the brick (and have a scar on the back of my hand as evidence of my genius!). I'm such a catch!
  19. Ah - now I'm an expert on this; - Dialling '9' to get an outside line on our home phone - Using my work's ID card for the tube/bus (and my Oyster card to get into work) - Also on my first night at my boyfriend (now husband)'s house I mistook Dettol for mouthwash. That one took a long time to overcome!!! I haven't managed to leave our baby on the car roof yet (ala National Lampoon vacation) but that's probably as I cannot reach the roof of our car. Health visitor, anyone?
  20. Ooh definitely. I have a birthday mid May (I think Belle does too??) and there's a couple of Bank holidays to negotiate but apart from that I'm free most Fridays. (Gone are my long Soho weekends - sadly) x If another day of the week is better I'm happy to 'compromise' with him indoors. I'm guessing post-6 May is better for Molly, yeah?
  21. I got a lie in until 6.40 this morning! Sad I know but that's quite a result. Lovely to see/meet you all too!
  22. Goodness me - you're not are you? That's quick work if you are! And congratulation if you are as well! Well OH is now here - one child is in bed being read to by OH, the other asleep downstairs on the day bed. Just need to wait for OH to assume the 'drooling in front of the TV' position - then I'm off.
  23. Don't worry me too. My OH has just called to say he's just left work so he'll be about an hour....grrrr...he's cutting it fine! Is it bad to order a taxi for a 15 minute walk to the Plough? I've been wearing heels all day and my feet are killing me. I'd take the bike but am a little worried about my ability to cycle on the other side of this night out.
  24. Oh btw - in case you get there before me the table/area is booked in the name of East Dulwich Forum .. see you there.
  25. We go to Mother Goose in Greendale (behind ED station and Sainsburys). It's 10 mins walk from Denmark Hill station and takes children from 3 months (ours are 4 months and 2.75 years). I know it has 10 external people(those without siblings already there)on the waiting list already though. Good luck x
