I made it to Athens, via Terminal 5, more or less un-scarred. We got stuck in 2 separate lifts at Terminal 5. It's a long way from the terminal to the gates (15-20 minutes) and the signage could be A LOT better. I did carry on only as I really couldn't face having my luggage lost, but I still made room for my laptop (obviously).

Many years ago I had a boyfriend who was a massive Stones fans and actually had Star Star on vinyl (very rare). He also had C***sucker Blues on vinyl and I remember being quite shocked by that at the time. The lyric has always stayed with me: Oh where can I get my cock sucked? Where can I get my ass f**ked? I may have no money, but I know where to put it every time I never forgot that one. As I schoolgirl I remember being very shocked by Honky Tonk Woman. Bear in mind that I went to a very nice school for young ladies and I lived a very sheltered life. To this day HT Woman is one of my favourite Stones tracks. Also, slightly off topic, I was always a little confused by Beast of Burden because I thought the line was Yeah, all your sickness I can fu** a duck I swear to God, I always thought that was the lyric. Until along came Google and everything became clear Yeah, all your sickness I can suck it up Throw it all at me I can shrug it off I haven't yet seen to SHINE A LIGHT but I'm very keen to see it - especially at the IMAX.

This year's MELTDOWN lineup is being announced tomorrow (Sunday) in The Observer. Tickets on-sale next Thursday (for members) or otherwise Friday. Meltdown always has a couple of amazing gigs (as well as some pretty obscure ones) so do check it out. It is so easy to get home to ED from the South Bank. Massive Attack are curating this year so expect the likes of Portishead/Tricky.

I'm re-reading A PRAYER FOR OWEN MEANY - John Irving - great book

Sounds like a good gig. Don't think Brixton was necessarily the best venue for Elbow. Can't really argue with the 10 minutes journey home - there's a lot to be said for that. This year's Somerset House gigs will go on sale soon (maybe this week or next?). They normally throw up some corkers. And the 176 bus stop is just outside the gates. Also, the long-awaited Meltdown programme should be out some time this month (again, on the 176 route). I'll post here as soon as I know more.

Most vintage shops smell of mothballs and goodness knows what else. Embalming fluid? Who knows? Don't get me wrong; I'll definitely be there on opening day to sniff it out (so to speak). I'm just saying that in the past I've been really disappointed.

Dear AnnaJ - I've been thinking of moving to Dulwich Medical Centre for years now and have just never got round to it. I shall be in there at the first opportunity to sign up! More power to you; you sound fabulous. -
Anyone flown out of Terminal 5 in the last few days and can let me know what to expect? I phoned BA yesterday to check on check-in and was told to try and get there 2 hours and 45 mins ahead. Is this excessive? I'm flying to Athens on Thursday with my best girls for our annual Spring Bitch-Break. These are some high-maintenance bitches so going with carry-on luggage only is going to present a bit of a challenge. Has BA reverted to its normal level of luggage loss or is it still loosing Terminal 5 luggage wholesale?

OMG what have we come to? This is such a horrible thing to happen and I hope you get it sorted out and get your money back.

I went to see Masque of the Red Death at BAC for the second time last night. Still have NO CLUE what's going on there but I enjoyed having a little dance at the end.

The Barbican is > the only place I found even close to comfy. Royal Court Sloane Square - most comfortable theatre in London For all other theatres you should refer to the seating plans on www.theatremonkey.com The monkey's seating plans are really detailed and especially useful for tall people (as well as very fussy people like me); at the least you can try and bag yourself some aisle seats which I'm guessing whould help a bit.

Rodrigo y Gabriella doing a night at The Roundhouse in June. I know it's a long way from ED but definitely worth the bus fare. Buy direct from the venue and avoid the booking fees. https://www.roundhouse.org.uk

I'm booked up to see Small Change at The Donmar. Very excited about the cast (includes Sue Johnston and I think she's fabulous). No reviews yet. http://www.donmarwarehouse.com/pl75cast.html

Keef Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- It's not like the Tibet situation is new, and no one has given a toss for a long time! Yes Keef it's not new and it has been going on for a long time but people have given a toss and do give a toss. Because it is "old news" is it therefore wrong to draw attention to the problems of Tibet whilst the eyes of the world are focused on China?

The torch debacle is being described as a "PR Disaster" on TV today, which, TBH is the best result possible. Whilst the games themselves are of no interest to me, I have no wish to destroy the dreams of the athletes taking part.

Glastonbury is a commercial venture. I don't have a problem with commercial ventures and I don't have a problem with making money. The farmer who runs it is a hypocrite of the first order who makes commercial decisions and cloaks his decisions in altruism. I have a problem with him. If this year's Glastonbury is under-subscribed then he has finally shot himself in the foot. I hope he still remembers how to milk a cow because he might need to go back to his day job.

I'm in China looking at today's copy of the South China Morning Post and the headline on the front page says "PROTESTERS DISRUPT LONDON TORCH RELAY" I can't find the article online because I think you need to subscribe to the paper to look online. Try here though http://www.scmp.com/portal/site/SCMP/menuitem.2c913216495213d5df646910cba0a0a0/?vgnextoid=9153574025429110VgnVCM100000360a0a0aRCRD&vgnextfmt=teaser&ss=World&s=News .... but I promise you this is on the front page in today's paper - big headline too - not hidden away on page 5 or whatever. I applaud the London protesters - you made your point and it's being reported.
