Hello Saleem, Subjecting an entire post code to these outpourings is not the way to go. Seriously. Some people have suggested it's boring. They're wrong. It's car crash. Please try and find a possibility for yourself that you're living a life that impacts others in a positive way and that fulfills you. This thing that you're doing is not big, or clever, it's screaming empty. Stop it. Hugenot has upset you. Fine. I get it. Try and be bigger than your enemies, not smaller. GG

Admin's having an early night. Or a power cut.

I'm OK on Sylvester but my next door neighbour has no leccy. Landells Road also has dark houses. Candlelight - very romantic. -
Where abouts in North London? Have they got a Waitrose? If we could swing by afterwards so I could pick up a few bits and bobs then I might be game. Katie numbers are you in too? Lunch?

To the woman from Dunstans Road who dumped her Dwell furniture packaging in Sylvester Road this afternoon. Dumping rubbish is a very anti-social thing to do. It is also an offence. Not only are you anti-social, you are also very stupid because you left your name and address on the rubbish you dumped. It would be great if you could come and pick your rubbish up and dispose of it responsibly.

How is this bothering you? Can you explain why it is a problem because I don't get it. I'm thinking "live and let live".

Planter stolen from front garden Henslowe Road

This sucks. I was thinking of having a tree outside my front door. I wonder where I can get an Audrey II from? That would deter thieves. -
What totes unreasonable facility do you want in ED ?

The Roundhouse to be dug up and moved south. -
I'm afraid not Paul; they're coming to pick it up on Friday so they can bring the new one. I'll definitely be Christening the new one but hopefully not with red wine.

You're right about positive vibes Dopamine; we need to spend as much time praising as we do complaining. Here's a link to the sofa company. Give them a try - you'll have a stress-free purchase. http://www.sofa.com/

I've been re-furnishing my house so inevitably spending a lot of money and dealing with lots of different retailers with varying levels of customer service. Sometimes it feels like no matter how much money I spend, getting what I want is not as easy as it sould be. I despair of what passes for so called customer-service, I really do. Except for the marvellous www.sofa.com - in a league of their own. I bought a sofa from www.sofa.com and it arrived yesterday. I wasn't completely happy with it. I wanted a bigger one - my mistake - I should have measured properly and ordered a bigger one. So I phoned them to see if anything could be done and they're picking it up (free of charge) and delivering a bigger one (free of charge). No drama. When you phone them, you don't get put on hold or passed on to someone else or phoned back. Whoever picks up the call deals with the call - no hold music! They have a showroom at Chelsea which is a bit out of the way but when you get there they let you make yourself a cup of tea. Others could learn from them on the customer service front. I've got a Stella BTW, which is lovely.

Camberwell Grove on Secret History of our Streets Next Week!

I watched the CG programme on catch-up and enjoyed most of it. It didn't start out well; just a bunch of people showing off their posh kitchens - that's of no interest to anyone. The Farm and the people who campaigned against the roads - that was excellent. The Farmer was SE London's very own Rooster Byron! What's not to like? -
Dreamchild - I'd forgotten about that film but I enjoyed it at the time.

?10 is so cheap it's practically putting the West End on a par with Peckham Plex. The play I'm most looking forward to is Privates on Parade with Simon Russell-Beale. I've booked a date near Christmas so it will be my personal panto. There are still some of the good ?10 seats left for this - the back of the Grand Circle - reall bargain. Can't wait.

Hello Ted I spent a staggering 8 hours at the Noel Coward yesterday for GATZ (which was brilliant). Personally I wouldn't go up to the top deck - it is a bit high. There were ?10 seats also in the stalls and the first circle (I think it's called the grand circle) and those have mostly been snapped up (but you might get lucky). The best seats left for ?10 are those in the 2nd circle (again, don't know what it's called) on the arms of the circle. Otherwise, I think the best bargain seats are those for ?27.50 on the very sides of the first circle. Those are the ones I've been booking and I went and looked at the view from the seats yesterday during one of the intervals in GATZ and they are terrific seats and a bargain at ?27.50. You can check the seats on www.theatremonkey.com but the seating plan shown is for GATZ which has removed most of the stalls. Hope this helps.

On a wet June Monday morning how can you not smile at "The Corpse Wore Pasties" by Jonny Porkpie? That made me so happy I want to be Jonny's girlfriend. Or, such treasures as "The Vengeful Virgin", "Honey in his Mouth", "Say it with Bullets" or, a personal favourite, "Losers Live Longer".

Michael Grandage, the ex-artistic director of the Donmar Warehouse, has formed a new company and has put together an amazing programme for this year/next year. He will be based at the Noel Coward Theatre on St Martins Lane, and his programme of 5 plays include the likes of Judy Dench, Simon Russell Beale, Jude Law and Daniel Radcliffe. Best of all, there are masses of ?10 tickets for each show. You can book online or go to the theatre in person and book at the box office. http://www.michaelgrandagecompany.com/

Ha ha. I've got a bottle of Malibu I can bring round to you once the sherry's gone. Px

You've got that backwards. Where ED goes today, the civilised world follows tomorrow. I have no idea what I'm talking about but I've had a caffeine rush and I'm just trying to lighten things up.

Is there some reason why you can't switch the TV off or change channels when some programme comes on that, for whatever reason, displeases you? It's very "Alf Garnett" to be shouting abuse at the TV in this day and age.

There's a Sycamore on some land next to my garden. My builders chopped it down last year but it has grown back so I need to chop it down again and put that rubber stuff round the stump. Sycamore is a horrid tree. This one used to take all the light away from my poor little garden. It must die.

There should be a sarcasm font. Coloured yellow with a scull on either side (a nod to McQueen there).

You get service with a smile at Rye Books. Very pleasant people. -
Isn't that a cocktail. Bit early isn't it? Slippery slope.
