Tories at Westminster are the biggest CPZ-mongers going. Party politics doesn't really come into this. They all realise it is an easy way of raking in the cash.
  3. Seem Mr/Ms Oxenweb has started spamming ads on other threads. I doubt they'll be around for much longer, bot or otherwise.
  4. I'm a bit in two minds over this one. What do other people think? It could be a good local facility.

  6. So, in other words, this 'tribunal' was set up to find Blair and Bush guilty. Hardly a fair trial - more a kangaroo court. I would have no problem with Bush and Blair being put on trial, but it would need to be a legitimate court, not this farce.
  7. The complaints about democracy from the Occupy camp seem to go something like this: Occupy Person: Democracy in this country doesn't work. Onlooker: Well why don't you run for parliament then? Occupy Person: Because no one will vote for me. Everyone just votes for the same old parties. Democracy is broken. I don't think it takes too much to see the basic flaw in this logic.
  8. Have you tried PMing him?

    My crutch.

I hope people round here can spell.
  16. How many pasty-white Anglo-Saxons have played the role of Jesus throughout the years, when he should be of middle-eastern appearance. Ditto for Othello, who was Moorish.

'Up to', being the operative phrase. 78% yes on a 29% turnout, suggesting the number will be more like 600K. The critical point will be how many of these will be of the important and visible area of the public sector like teachers, border staff, etc.

But chippy, it is exactly that average that make is distorted. To clarify, you'd need to at least provide an equivalent average number of years service that those figures applies to.

  24. Apparently there is another one, often done in conjunction with a gong-bath.... You can even play . (Favourite quote: "If you have a big enough bowl, or a small enough head...")
