  3. Sorry Admin, I've just realised that this thread may be in the wrong section, as it relates to businesses (though also to the Covid-19 situation). Please move it if so, thanks.

For the moment the parks are still > open. I really can't understand, given the situation in parks at the weekend, how those parks which could be locked are being allowed to stay open (I understand some spaces can't be locked, obviously). Somebody "at the top" aka the PM needs to be taking a much harder stance on this (and other things), not just giving "guidance". In my opinion.
  5. siousxiesue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I've ordered from Aga's little deli in Forest > Hill, they deliver to SE22. Thanks, that's helpful. What sort of stuff do they sell? Do they have a website or a list somewhere?
  6. Seabag, all the best to you and your partner and your forthcoming baby. These are very worrying times anyway, let alone in your situation. I hope everything goes well for you all.

  8. Just looked at the website and it says my postcode (an SE22 one) is outside their delivery area? It's not impossible I did something wrong, so do double check. Also, they have a notice up saying due to the very high demand they are restricting deliveries. Shame, as I was hoping to possibly order stuff!
  9. dbboy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How about One Tree Hill and Camberwell Old and New > Cemetery's that are used for recreation? Surely exactly the same issues would apply (apart from the Thames Water thing)? People evidently cannot be trusted to keep their distance from each other in open spaces :(

Do you know what will be in those boxes? It's a great idea, but not everybody has the same essentials. Will they have a vegan version, for example? ETA: Or a gentrified version, with sourdough and prosecco :))

  13. I have just seen on another thread that Organic Village in Lordship Lane will deliver. You can email [email protected] with a list. Does anybody know if anywhere will deliver sourdough bread? Sorry, very middle class but in this case for health reasons. I think I saw something on another thread, but I can't remember where. Also, offies? Again, sure I saw something elsewhere but could have been on some other online media (perish the thought :) ) Hop Burns and Black? Bruno's?
  14. Loutwo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > People hugging? Jesus christ. Beggars belief. > Unfortunately, given the crowds of people shown gathering on beaches, in parks etc, it is only too believable. I can't understand why there hasn't been a massive co-ordinated public information campaign spelling out the dangers in words of one syllable with leaflets delivered to every door. "They" seem to be able to do this at election times. The facts of the situation we are in just haven't been properly communicated, and by the time they are it will be too late for many people.
  15. Apologies if there is already a thread on this, but I can't see one, and it would be helpful to have information all in one place. I know Monica at Health Matters has said they are setting up a delivery service, which is very helpful. I'm just wondering whether any other of the smaller/independent shops are? I can understand that it would be quite hard to set this up from scratch, particularly if there are not many people working at the shop in the first place, plus it's possibly putting the people who do the deliveries at risk (though no more than people coming into their shops) but even if a few shops could do it, it would be really good. I'm wondering particularly the zero waste places like Gather in Bellenden Road? Though not sure quite how that could work?

Obvious when you think about it, which I hadn't done ......

  18. I'm not sure that people who usually eat out at restaurants a lot would now be cooking at home? I'd have thought that they would have turned to takeaways (which I still call them even if they are delivered!)?
  19. Interesting, thanks.
  20. Please keep us in touch with its development :) I suppose the problem is, you don't know what it likes to eat ..... if moths eat once they're moths?
  21. Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > As the death rate increases so will peoples > awareness of what not to do will also. Sadly it will be too late for many of them, but even worse, too late for the many others they have infected during the time they were incubating CV and had no symptoms. ETA: Although come to think of it, these two groups overlap .....
  22. Thanks intexas, that's a really useful post.
  23. So basically, you can give me no evidence to back up your accusations. I will draw my own conclusions, and so can others. Anybody can click on my name, look at all the posts I have made on here in over thirteen years, and also look at the context in which I made them. I am only too happy to apologise if appropriate, as indeed I have done in the past. I am wondering why, with all the obvious trolls on this forum, you have suddenly decided to pick on me. And I don't have "forum buddies", as you call them. I obviously know some posters on here in real life, because they are friends and neighbours. Why exactly do you think telling me what I am supposed to have done wrong would be "entertaining" me? Tell me what I have done, and if it is as terrible if you are telling everybody it is, then of course I will apologise, without hesitation. Oh, and I do not hide under a pseudonym on here. I run (or did until this crisis) local music events with my partner as The Goose Is Out! and I live in Ulverscroft Road. PM me and I will give you my mobile number. If you won't tell me on here what I am supposed to have done, you can phone me and tell me privately. If you won't do that either, then again, I draw my own conclusions.

I'm also someone you have attacked many > times in the past for literally no reason, > so maybe you should be a bit more careful. Please give me examples. And please answer the questions in my previous post. Are you sure you are not confusing me with somebody else? As I have no recollection whatsoever of "attacking" you, let alone many times, and let alone for no reason. Thanks. ETA: And please explain what you mean by "maybe you should be a bit more careful", which unless I have misunderstood you, sounds quite threatening. My apologies if that was not your intention. But you really cannot make these accusations about me out of the blue and give no examples to back them up. You've got enough posts to choose from, I've been an active member of this forum for over thirteen years.
