Oh well. Happy new > year to you both! We live in the same road. I know a lot of people in real life who post on here, and several of them also live in nearby roads. Most of them seem to have similar views to me on most things. Dulwich Fox doesn't. What are you suggesting, that instead of responding to his posts on here I should go and knock on his door and tell him I disagree with him in person? I'd be permanently down there! And you are right, it is absolutely none of your business. So if you know that, why did you post it? It's also not forum etiquette to out somebody's real life name unless they use it openly on here, I believe. Happy New Year to you too! ETA: I see you have now edited your post to remove Foxy's real life name, so I will edit mine to remove it in the quoted part above. -
Do the post mortems all show that the animals died from the knife wounds, and that they were not dead or seriously injured from some other cause before the knife wounds were inflicted? Sorry, I know it's an emotive issue.

No, Fox, it doesn't. But I was commenting on the tone of your and Louisa's posts on this thread. And obviously (I thought) the "Did you spend it together?" was a joke. I'm sorry if you didn't think it was funny, and I'm sorry if you didn't have a happy Christmas. But many people spending Christmas with their families can have a very hard time, and also some people are quite happy being by themselves at Christmas. I do see that feeling you have no choice must be difficult. -

Yes, I wonder too. Very sorry for those whose pets have been killed, but not sure exactly how they may have died ........

What were they made of, silk? You can get tissues much cheaper in Sainsbury's. And even cheaper than that in Tesco's. :)) -

Sounds like you both had a really joyful Christmas, Fox and Louisa. Did you spend it together? -

I just eat the same as I eat the rest of the year, and force everybody else in the family to do the same. I can't understand why anybody would do anything else. Something special for Christmas? Bizarre. Why would something from a specialist cheese shop be any better than a chunk of mild Cheddar from the Co-op wrapped in plastic? And as for queuing to get it, well clearly those people are far more interested in being seen than in buying food. I am going to stop going out in ED, in case somebody sees me and thinks I am only walking down the road in order to be seen in ED. Going to put a smiley now, in case anybody takes my post seriously. Here it is: :)) -

So Bossman Wines (?) has become Bottle Cave. I'm assuming it's just a change of name and not a change of ownership?

I noticed this some years back. I always thought that if a bus was a request stop, obviously you had to hail the bus to get on, or ring the bell to get off. What I didn't grasp was that you have to ring the bell to get off at compulsory stops as well, because even if you are clearly standing at the door waiting to get off, the driver will ignore that unless you ring the bell. It's a nonsense. What is the point of having two different types of stop at all?

Jo Cox's murder. Brexit. Trump. Aleppo. Nigel Farage/Boris Johnson/Theresa May The rise of far right politics in Europe and beyond Climate change not being addressed. Too little too late. The continuation of many humans and groups of humans acting like the animals we are instead of evolving. Lack of love and respect. Sorry, feeling quite pessimistic at the moment :(

I found a wonderful Victorian Christmas card online that actually had a dead robin on it. I don't know if I can find it again :)) YES! ATTACHED!! It's the "May yours be a joyful Christmas" I find so touching :)) ETA: There's also one with a dead sparrow, with "A loving Christmas greeting" underneath, but the file is too large to attach on here and I don't have the inclination to spend time reducing it at the mo.
