  1. I love the Mag, and I love their food, but I do wish they'd learn to make proper crispy roast potatoes :)
  2. One swallow doth not a Summer make. Or something. Been on the Stella? No not me :))

One of my work colleagues was phoned yesterday by her partner, who informed her that Brockwell Park was full of cows and that the police could not trace where they had come from. She was amazed/excited and proceeded to tell everybody within earshot about it until at some point she realised what the date was ..... As for me, I believed it too, I thought it was something to do with the Lambeth Country Show ..... Sorry admin I know it's off-topic but it's quite funny, well I thought so anyway :)
  4. Is that the church on the corner of the South Circular, near the entrance to the woods? I thought it was still in use by an evangelical group. I sat at the back of one of their services (not sure if they call them that) with some friends after a walk in the woods one day. Much to their probable bemusement.
  5. Why on earth is this thread still here when the original post has gone? It doesn't make any sense at all to anyone who didn't read the OP. And it makes no sense to me either as I read the OP (and posted a response) but didn't read the subsequent comments before they were removed.
  6. Doesn't mean the sellers got the price they wanted, does it?
  7. It's not 1 April yet :))
  8. Sorry to hear of your experience. Have you thought of writing to HSBC's Head Office? If you address it to the Chairman (probably a man) by name they will be bound to investigate and reply. I think. Just closing your account may make you feel a bit better but won't change anything in the branch.

  13. Hurrah for East Dulwich, and what a lovely new view across Goose Green :)
  14. joe_disco Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Haven't heard anything either but sounds like a > good idea. Wouldn't harm traffic flow xxxxxxx Eh? Would make it very difficult for those of us who live off North Cross Road and, erm, may want to drive our car down it !!!!! :-$

You think you're old? Jeez! Try 51 for > size. xxxxx Try 59 !!!!! Hoopers was brilliant if I say so myself, Danny and the Champs on top top form, didn't see you there though Jah Lush :))
  19. Hey, Danny and the Champions are on at Hoopers Bar tonight, OK it's not in LL but it's a five minute walk, great music, food and drink, FREE to get in!! See the thread in the "What's on" section!! :)-D
  20. Whole thing seems crap to me. You should register with the Dulwich Medical Practice (I think?) in Crystal Palace Road - I've always seen a woman doctor there whenever I've asked for one. The reason for a woman being in with a male doctor is as a chaperone - not the same thing at all as being examined by a woman and/or not wanting to be examined by a man.

    The Apprentice

I love The Apprentice. It's about the only thing I ever watch :-$ Even once having to co-run workshops with Jo Cameron didn't put me off it :))
  22. Do Wah Diddy - Manfred Mann (but am I missing something, or what is the connection between the last two posts???) :-S
  23. PeckhamRose Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Anyone been to > Dennis Severs House yet? It's great fun. xxxxxxx Went in the early eighties (I think), took my ex for a birthday surprise, we were was shown around by Dennis, RIP, was amazing, don't know if the experience has changed since then.

I think red squirrels actually have quite distinct tufts on their ears, but I'm not an expert .... but would be very surprised (and delighted!) if it was a proppa red squirrel.
