  1. We were there on Sunday afternoon and it was packed. With both women and men :) We had roast lamb for a late Sunday lunch, which was delicious. I definitely prefer it to the old Magdala.
  2. Oh no, does this mean it's going to get even more crowded??

  4. So how do you tell they aren't British?
  5. School dinners, spam fritters, you pressed them and the grease ran out, yum :))

Time for bed, it must be :-S

  9. Baby Love - The Supremes Why do I always get this sense of deja vu every time I post on this thread? :))
  10. Can you have corned beef fritters, like spam fritters? Yum :))
  11. MrBen Wrote: And the most gentlemanly old school > efficient waiters that always make any women > swoon..... xxxxxx Blimey, I'd better pay more attention to the waiters next time I'm there :)) Haven't swooned for a while :))

And those who have had experiences with the Maudsley are perhaps not likely to broadcast them all over the ED Forum, whether they were positive or negative. Just a thought :)

And not a single response. xxxx If you go to the top the minions will have to draft a letter for the top guy to send you. Ooops or gal in case Chief Exec is a woman :-$
  14. Write to the Chief Executive instead of whoever it was you wrote to.
  15. NO NO NO from me too :) I agree it is getting slightly harder to park, but I can almost always find a place in my road, even if I have to walk a bit sometimes. I definitely don't want residents' parking with all that entails.

  17. My ex used to take pleasure in inviting religious cold callers in for a chat and a cup of tea. After a few searching questions from him which they couldn't answer, they were only too keen to leave :))

EvilLaugh Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It's a big pub and unless it's full it feels like > drinking in a morgue. > >> xxxxx Hey come down to Hoopers on Friday night 30th Jan, we've got the wonderful Wizz Jones and Simeon Jones, it'll be brilliant, definitely not morgue-like!! :)
  19. Musicals - Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music - still know all the words .... Kenneth McKellar (my dad was Scottish) Harry Belafonte Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley - can't remember who did it, but it had a purple label :)) Sparky and his Magic Piano (on 78s :)) )
  20. Where did you hear that joey2? And do you know when it will be? Sooner the better as far as I am concerned!
  21. So does that mean it will definitely be coming a Co-op then? Hurrah! :)-D
  22. It's a very very small one, isn't it?
  23. But what was the actual meal like? If they'd run out of burgers, at least that implies they didn't have a freezer full of them :)
  24. Co-op is brilliant. At least, there's a great one in Oxford. Ethical, good value, good choice, fair trade wines, etc.. Though I've never been quite sure what that Co-op pharmacy in LL is all about .... strange place.
