  1. Am I still in a drunken stupor or are these posts on the wrong thread?? :-$
  2. All the young dudes - Mott the Hoople
  3. Fresh as a Sweet Sunday Morning - Bert Jansch
  4. Yeh OK, that definitely wins hands down, I'll have that at my funeral instead of the Rufus Wainwright one - or maybe both, they could probably do with a laugh by that point :))
  5. bigbadwolf Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- text removed - The Administrator xxxxxx That's a bit like saying all the posters on this forum are bigoted, prejudiced, stupid arseholes just because one or two of them are, naming no names of course. (6)
  6. Oh OK, life's too short as none of my photos are online :)) Edited to say: But thanks anyway!

  8. Yeh agree re Earthly Powers, brilliant book.
  9. Hey, I want to put up a pic of Spotty my deflated dalmation, and I don't know how to do it ... :-$
  10. WHERE'S RUFUS WAINWRIGHT'S VERSION????!!!!????!!!! Best by far in my opinion, and I don't even like Rufus Wainwright much apart from Hallelujah!
  11. Why all this animosity towards PCSOs? I had a visit from one recently who was coming round giving out the DNA marking kits or whatever they're called. She was professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Afraid I can't see the point of this thread at all :-S And is tiger ranks suggesting the PCSOs should have somehow known in advance where and when the armed robberies were to take place? FFS ....
  12. bigbadwolf Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > This thread would tie in nicely with 'thieves in > east Dulwich', I'd sooner take a valuable package > to the local Gypsy camp than leave it in the care > of the post office! xxxxx And your point is what exactly? Glad to see you're spreading goodwill etc to all this festive season. Oh no, my mistake, you're not. You're spreading prejudice and hate. Oh well.
  13. I had two "meter readers" recently within a week of each other - I didn't think to question the first one until the second one turned up and was quite clearly from the energy company. But if number one was casing the joint, I'm sure word will have gone round the ED underworld that I have nothing at all worth stealing, unless they're into houseplants :-$ And now I'm even more bemused as I've had a letter giving my last meter readings as supplied by me - which they weren't :-S
  14. These had gone last night, so hopefully the owner of the mitts found them and they were not taken by some other person :-$
  15. What happened to Mr Da Bank, then?
  16. His Dark Materials trilogy - Philip Pullman. All three.
  17. Bunty Annual.
  18. Ulysses. Lord of the Rings. Glass Bead Game (Herman Hesse). Couldn't get through any of them. Tried several times. Loved Life of Pi though :)
  19. Yellow Rose of Texas - Mitch Miller
  20. How do you insert a picture? :-$
  21. Are you sure this was Royal Mail? It happened to me last Christmas with a parcel delivered by another delivery company, who also left a card saying "your parcel is in the bin".
  22. If anybody reached home with a mittenless child today,I found one in Whateley Road and another one in Ulverscroft Road, and they are now sitting together on a wall outside 16 Whateley Road :)
  23. Well some folk don't seem to be bothered by the cost of trees - Islington Council has had to ask Islington residents not to put out artificial trees for recycling - and apparently last year some people also attempted to recycle real trees complete with lights and baubles :))
  24. I think the Blue Mountain was last night unless I have lost a day somewhere - quite likely.
  25. There was an ambulance outside, was anybody hurt?
