If mobile phones are not harmful, how come I have bad earache on the side I have used the phone (which continues for days afterwards) whenever I use one for any length of time? And yes I try not to .... but had to at work recently, and couldn't have it on the loudspeaker which is what I would do at home. Mobiles have not been around long enough yet for any long-term effects to become apparent. The Guardian last Friday had another article saying "The head of a leading cancer research institute has reignited the controversy over the health risks of using mobile phones by sending a warning to staff that they shuld limit the use of the devices because of the risk of cancer." This was Dr Ronal Heberman, of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. It's far too early to become complacent just because there's no evidence yet. :-S

I was passing here (Maceys/Lloyds, not Sainsburys!) early this evening and saw they had emptied many of their shelves - does this mean they have taken everything away to reprice it(upwards)? :-S

Yeh or that stall down the hill from Hampstead tube, can't remember if it's waffles or pancakes,savoury and sweet, yumyum (but always seem to be very long queues)

Person in front of me in the queue in Somerfield complained to the manager. I just wanted to get out quick :)) Was told by the cashier that it was due to "cleaners cleaning the floor upstairs" but I'm sure inhaling fumes like this, toxic or not, can't be good for the lungs. And yeh - bloody flying ants - they're in Islington as well. Brought back hideous memories of walking home from school and a load of them got in my hair. Traumatised for life :))

You could either phone one of their other branches, or else put a letter under the door of the LL one, perhaps?

That's really awful. I'm so sorry. I heard about the problem with your table booking at the Tim van Eyken gig. It's disappointing because it reflects on the Goose, and we have never had anything to do with table bookings for food at the EDT. As you say, lucky you were on the Goose mailing list. We have done our best to let as many people know as possible via our mailing list, MySpace, this forum and the Goose website, but at such short notice (we were told on Sunday) that was the best we could do really :-S We are just hoping that we won't be lynched by starving mobs tonight :-S And that it hasn't deterred too many people from what we are hoping will be another night of excellent music :)
