Just got new job in Islington, many possible routes, all very long commute I think, AAAARRRRGGGHHH :)) Walked from Kings Cross for the interview, won't be doing that again, gave me blisters (shouldn't have worn heels :)))

Yep, there is at least one handbag in the window (large, red) And some glittery shoes .... :)

In pride of place in the window is a teddy bear sitting on top of what appears to be a pile of rolled-up disposable nappies, complete with pink bow. ?????? If you had just had a baby, would you want to be given a present reminding you that you were in for several years of nappy changing?? :-S Edited to add: I'm not even going to comment on the aesthetic aspect - ooops, I did :))

Yep, and you can't help but see the whole hideousness of it as you come to the end of North Cross Road and there it is, just across the Lane ..... :-S

I went to the Sydenham branch while on a Goose flyer mission, and thought it was lovely, quite a different feel to the NCR branch. The staff were great too, really friendly and helpful even though I wasn't staying to eat or drink anything.

I think the fence is an eyesore and was a mistake. If putting mistakes right cost money, then so be it. I love dogs, but would prefer to see them banned from Goose Green if that is the only way it can revert back to one big open space as it was before. The Rye is only ten minutes down the road and has dog-friendly spaces. Fence and palm tree, AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH

There always seem to be low water probs round here, as soon as my water pressure goes back to something approaching normal, there's another leak somewhere .....

Grace and Favour opened a while later as a teashop/cafe, but then became what it is now. Surely someone else must remember the BMC opening??!!

If North Cross Road is pedestrianised, I am going to have to reverse all the way down my road every market day - not sure my driving skills are up to it !! Neighbours, you may wish to park elsewhere !! :-S

Am I being very thick here? The 176 goes to Waterloo .... why not just get a 176 then a train from Waterloo? What's the point of Vauxhall? Cost? :-S

As I say, there are already open mic evenings in ED. We were specifically looking for people interested in a traditional folk singaround :-$ If your nanny is into this then great, tell her to get in touch, but just because she can sing and does open mic doesn't mean she will be into stuff like "Jolly Wagoner" and "Banks of the Sweet Primroses" :)):)):))
