  1. Definitely go for INOA if your salon carries it. It makes your hair super shiny which adds to the illusion of youth.
  2. We saw him in peckham rye 2 weeks ago so he must live there.
  3. Get a Jumperoo! It?s the perfect solution. Trust me. All kids love these things and you can lick them up cheap on here or eBay or toy swaps.
  4. I can?t help and you?ve probably already considered and ruled this out, but we just rented one from hss for the weekend for ?50. It was very easy to use and did a really good job. We made our own detergent based on the tips on the hss site which made it even cheaper.
  5. You should go into Pearspring on a quiet day and ask their advice. They are super knowledgable and can order things in at reasonable prices in my experience.
  6. We have parakeets alongside tits, wrens and lots of robins. Jules-and-Boo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > if you have parakeets, song birds will stay away. > I'd rather have the little birds in our trees and > the little robins who visit when i go outside.
  7. I love seeing and hearing them
  8. I?ve also had good experiences.
  9. We?ve lived here 12 years and started our family here in ED. We have lived in 3 flats/houses. If you can get yourself in East Dulwich bordering Peckham you get the best of both worlds. Slightly cheaper property prices. Grown up meals out in Lordship Lane and youthful, vibey Peckham High Street for when you feel like a cool pop up or something more experimental. East Dulwich schools and Peckham Rye?s great train links to an awful lot of places. ED Fancy shops for gifts and fashion etc and then Iceland and McDonalds in Peckham for when you feel less flush. Picturehouse cinema in ED for the arthouse films and Peckhamplex for the mainstream ones and super cheap tickets. Peckham Rye Park and playgrounds bordering on both which gets a traditional funfair, steam fair and circus visiting annually. Also, with a kid you get nearby Dulwich Park, Dulwich gallery and Horniman museum with its annual kids exhibition (dinosaurs, colours etc) and aquarium, soft play at Peckham Pools. Good libraries in both locations, both with bespoke, closed off kids areas so they don?t have to be too quiet.
  10. I think it?s really nice and commendable you registered a positive post. It?s much easier to remember to complain than to compliment. It made me feel happy. So thank you.
  11. Not to worry! Got hold of a soldering iron. Thanks!
  12. I had this. All cured by Daniel at Dulwich Chiropractors on Crystal Palace rd. lots of recommendations on here. The acupuncture I tried first, only worked temporarily. I would skip straight to the chiropractors.
  13. I walked home from Streatham Odeon the other night. Bus stop showed the next 10buses and none were the p13 for about 25mins. It was freezing so I started to walk. An hour later, just as I reached Lordship Lane, a p13 finally passed. Absolutely ridiculous.
  14. Does anyone know what the new premises on Forest Hill Road is going to be? It?s the old Barbers shop near French Cafe.

  16. If any bakers would like to contribute any suitable foodstuff to next weeks proceedings, I am happy to bring it with mine when I attend next week. Please pm me if relevant to you.
  17. Lol. Well, I am not a moth expert I?m afraid. I?ve been in 3 properties in East Dulwich over 14yrs and always have the same moths (no I don?t move house with them). So whatever those moths are, I do not know. All I know is the peppermint balls work for me without fail. They also deter spiders coming in and mice don?t like them. Can I guarantee it will work for you? No. But what?s the harm? Holland and Barrett were the cheapest vendor of oil. Good luck.
  18. We use peppermint essential oil on cotton wool balls. Works well
  19. Please delete

  21. There is one right now in the sale section for ?20. Worth a punt.
  22. I can?t, but I have seen one on one lessons happening in Bromley pools by a member of staff and a small child.
  23. We bought a Quincy zapp off the forum for cheap. It was amazing. When it got stolen we actually then invested in it again full price. It folds down to smaller than anything I have ever seen and is very light. As a buggy itself it is quite upright but comfortable enough we started using it as our main buggy.
