In what way have other clubs "self generated" ? United floated on SE in 1991 and have used that PLC staus to "borrow" to buy players and are seriously in debt. ST holders have to also pay automatically for cup games, they have now (I believe) stood down on charging CL prices for Europa games-but only after a lot of ST holders saying bugger that. (A little known fact-ST revenue is 67%+ of club revenue) Our latest record signing is Sergio Aquero for ?38m in 2011, United paid over ?30m for Rio in what year ? Inflation would mean Rio is worth ?300m+. United are paying "turn up if I feel like it" Rooney ?300k p/w- City aren't paying anything like that on 1 player. This "You've got the oil money behind you" is irksome- like for like City have paid very little
  2. If kit is left out (with note "milk in fridge") fair play. If not bloody liberty-what other cupboards/drawers they been through ? Personally, always leave kit out or if there-offer brew soon as and then say "You know where it is, feel free. Oh, I'll be in the office (ok, watching Jeremy Kyle and posting here or Twitter so milk no sugar ta"
  3. we looked at booking on Tuesday and all was all sold out. I think many may have cancelled tonight and Picturehouses are getting a skeleton staff from other branches to cover, please don't cross the friendly picket line
  4. PD, johnny come latelys make us feel sick too-we are buzzing now but know just how quickly the tide can turn and be playing York (no disrespect to York) away. Those that say we have done because of money should look at there own "histories"
  5. That's what I meant- Ritzy/Picturehouses know this film is going to be mass and have been promoting it for some time-timing may well be sheer coincidence for the release but could not have been fortunate for getting noticed. We're Ritzy members and fully support the action. The staff are great and I applaud their action.
  6. Good day to choose, Calvary opens today and has been pre-booked/sold out for several weeks
  7. Bloody United fans, any chance they can get to have a dig at "Ickle Citeh"
  8. Well done Brendan Rogers. May "The Manager of the Month" curse strike you down !!
  9. Honestly don't know anything about the gym side of things
  10. Right, there is no question at all about the legality of the workers (visas etc) The owners are not planning on building on the land. There was, apparently, an annual rent revue (which included electricity/water) and based on the land and business they were paying well short of current rentable/services value, I understand that they were told, happily, that there was no issue with the car wash being there HOWEVER 1) It would be moved to other end of car park and 2)Rent/services would be increased to todays effective valuation-They refused to accept this. The new owners are a business not a charity-DHFC almost collapsed due to the lacksidasical approach from the previous owner. The gates were not locked just kept closed (this is an emergency gate so would be illegal to do so) The gates were generally* only opened to let players/officials in before K/O, managed at h/t so people could nip to Sainsburys and then closed again for first 20 minutes or so of second half. Gates were then opened so if people wished to leave early they could. *Execptions wheelchair users, parents with buggies, bikes and if got busy close to KO, ST holders and those with correct money. (ST holders are now welcomed through the main door where we have programmes available) There may well be more changes made in preperation for next season especially of we get promoted, more stringent league rules come into force
  11. Fair point, maths isn't always a lot of peoples strong point.
  12. neilson99 don't be pathetic. Ruffers I was at Etihad so don't know
  13. titch if you think that RD shows misguided arrogance you really have led a sheltered life in regards to United fans-he's tame in comparison. But hey I can't be nice to him all the time so
  14. Peter Bennison (not the electrician) said he wanted to move to the other side of the car park , as people were getting drenched if the wind was blowing whilst waiting at turnstiles. He said nothing about getting rid
  15. United mosaic for tonight
  16. says quite clearly you MUST have ID of the addressee on the collection notice-so Post Office obliging their legally binding contract is "poor customer service"? I'd be scathing if other way round
  17. were you sending via MMS (Media Message Service) ? SMS (Short Message Service-or Text) is inclusive but not MMS
  18. Same here, text saying "failed" but still getting replies to those failed texts !!
  19. Has nobody called MI5 yet ? This is seriously, like you know, their forte. Astonishing that there aren't a few roadblocks up.

  21. Babylon 5 my friend. don't get a wet stain over this Babylon ;-)
  22. What about the "Moyes Out" banner allegedly to be flown over OT ? Red Issue has gained over ?800 by fans to get this done, apparently. Bit sad.
  23. Scudamores comment is diabolical imo, shows just how much football has f**k all to with fans but about money and business- sad indictment of todays game. Hey RD, I hear Old Trafford is about to be renamed the 0-3 Arena ;-) !!!
