OMG Artful you need a cycle "buddy" - as do I. I cycled over Vauxhall Bridge earlier this week (unplanned, don't ask!) - its not exactly pleasant. The next day I discovered the route that Horsebox and Ladymuck mention above - SO much better. If you can avoid that bridge then do so as Lambeth/Westminster = less stress. Best of luck.

  4. And there was me hoping that someone*, anyone, would contribute some of those crazy, yet entertaining, HM/HB lyrics to the "Great Song Lyrics" thread! *Asparagus next Left* *Veer Left for Marmalade* *Last Chance for Hanging Baskets* * a true fan

I will be fine thanks Ladymuck, will go to docs if it persists (e.g. way before 3 weeks!!) *(tu)*

  10. Warning: you may suffer from a flu-like virus and a very high temperature around 3 days after replying to this thread. PS. My husband works in the oil industry too, he is often at sea. Am I making sense...? *:-S*

Predicted it a while ago y'see (when I was looking into my crystal ball...)
  12. Perhaps it been moved for greater reasons - attunement, strengthening of the aura...by etheric and celestial bodies? Distant healing perhaps.....? ;-)
  13. And back off topic... No WB)B)F - this is more what I had in mind...chilled out dog does yoga (tu)
  14. OMG I am genuinely surprised at my result. I'm thinking they should base it on more than just four key policy areas. Found myself (unusually) wavering between some of the answers, so I guess lots to think about between now and the election. Yup, I agree with you Sean, can totally see through those glaringly obvious ones! PeckhamRose - thanks, I think...:)
  15. They won't provide all of it as currently* wind power needs back-up from coal-fired plants. And whilst I admire the engineering and construction of the structure, I don't much like the finished result either. All the more reason for increased investment in renewable energy research and technology? Edited for clarity
  16. gosh brum I'm sorry I'm not sure what the answer is here other than to go back to your GP asap....3 weeks sounds like a long time to have flu-like symptoms. Make sure you are drinking enough liquids for a start. Hope you get well soon.
  17. Keep up please ;-)
  18. Chill out dude B)
  19. I like that - me too. Cheers for the info.
  20. Oh Woof ... Not at all my dear...proceed as follows: *Checks messages* *sighs*
  21. *presses "woofmarkthedogs" face attached to a 'panic' button* *enters a new dimension in Time & Space and cries for help*
  22. I am trying - and failing miserably - to sit on my hands throughout this thread. As KalamityKel suggested, it would be really helpful if you could please provide a reference to your material. Thanks.
  23. Yeah... A "panic button" on a car forum? OK - no need to answer that if you own certain brand(s) of car* Me? I'd like a "How to....button". Seriously. Just imagine having all those handy tips on how to cook rice/boil water/trim your hedge* in the same place? :)) * and I think we all know the one(s) I mean. etc etc
  24. Just take one look at the Cuillins on the Isle of Skye......absolutely breathtaking.
  25. A big thank you to everyone for their fantastic help in choosing a new bicycle*. Whilst I was very tempted by the BeOne (currently out of stock in the Netherlands!), I finally got a Trek 7.3 FX WSD. So far, I love it, its really fast and comfortable. Have had fun cycling around and getting to know ED and surrounding areas. Have picked up invaluable info on cycle routes from this forum too. I highly recommend B.C. Bikes on East Dulwich Road (formerly Balfe's). The staff are really helpful, knowledgable and customer service is second to none. (tu) Cheers, K xx * Kona? Kona who? exactly.... Edited because I cannot tell the difference between choose/chose.
