Have you been thrown out of Lee Hurst's comedy club?

I *think* it may have been LH who jumped off the stage in a fit of anger to snatch a mobile phone from a member of the audience. He then proceeded to rant on stage that he despised people filming him on to post on You-Tube (td) -

Pirate78 - what an awful experience, I hope that you recover from this very soon. I have always been a little apprehensive about taking that short cut on my own and this is a sad reminder not to be complacent, thank you for posting the warning on here. -
I would say the 22 does. Good luck Charlotte87, there must be lots of people around your age locally that you can meet up with. And there are some great coffee shops to meet in around this area too :)

I would think most people feel like this from time to time in their life. You just have to live yours the way that feels right to you. I would say that its never, ever too late to do anything. Maybe just have a think about what you feel may be missing or where you feel unfulfilled and don't be too harsh on yourself. Try not to compare with others as we each have unique circumstances as to how we got to a particular place in life. There is always a way and yes, you can 'catch up'.

"Ladymuck, your Irish chocolate brownies are AMAZING.....a winning combination.......you're through to the next round" :)) "But what possessed you to serve yams for the first course? Interesting combination with the pigs tails" ;-) Btw, does FF Greg now get to comment first all the time? He used to just echo what FF John said (with an added yummmmmy/scrummmy thrown in for good measure).

I don't like being almost run over on zebra crossings either....and yes, some (but thankfully not all) drivers and cyclists do think they are immune to the highway code. So....'tiny, little things you say?' Orange Smarties. The only ones with a flavour - and I don't like it. I'd campaign to have them removed/returned to the same flavour as the others ;-)

So funny Monica - I always see him on Northcross Road too and he calls me sweetness. He must say that to all the ladies :))

Have you seen Let Me Google That For You? :))

So they have banned it and drawn more attention to it as a result! Well, I reckon we can expect more 'news' like this before May arrives from all sides of the political spectrum. And I am by no means a fan of Cameron, Osbourne et al..but aren't there more Etonians/public school-educated politicians in the current Cabinet/Labour party than the Conservatives(?) :-S (Edited: to mean public school, as in privately-educated).

Oh gosh I am not sure how entirely authentic mine might be, I just copied it from an Irish recipe book I have :-$ > I'll let you know how the brownies turn out too - > watch this space! Lord, my cholesterol! yes do let me know, sure they will turn out fab! :)) > Are you Irish by any chance? No I am not Irish so sorry if you thought my recipe was authentic...I have lots of Irish friends so will see if I can ask if any of them have anything more original...watch this space ;-) PS. Where I used to live with my ex (who did the gardening, I am useless at it sadly) we had potatoes from the garden...OMG....it is SO much better and full of flavour that anything from a shop just does not compare to those home-grown ones!! Fab fab fab!! happy mashing :))

*checks recipe book* Ratios are: 1pound cabbage:2pounds potatoes:2 leeks:10 tbspns butter 2pounds potatoes: 6tbspns butter: 1.5 cups chives/spring onions heya LM....I'm sure you could substitute cider for guinness (or even use a blend of milk/water) instead :) Happy baking!

What to do about all the dog pooh in Dulwich?
katie1997 replied to TonyQuinn's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm afraid I haven't noticed any great amount of dog pooh in ED either....not that I can speak for every street but I do walk around Northcross/Lordship/Barry Rd area most days. -
Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > My assumption would be (not that I'm stereotyping > Irish cooking) similar to bubble but with > shitloads of cream/milk/butter. I have a fabulous Irish recipe book that tells me; Colcannon = cabbage, potatoes, leeks, milk and butter. Mash. Champ = potatoes, chives, spring onions, milk and butter. Mash. Boxty = potatoes, onion, egg. Flatten into patties, quickly fry then bake in oven. I could continue the potato theme (but I won't). So how about chocolate and guinness brownies? 4 x eggs 3/4 cup sugar 8oz dark chocolate 4oz white chocolate 6tbspn butter 3/4 cup flour 3/4 cup cocoa 1.5 cups guinness Mix eggs and sugar. Melt dark and white chocolate with butter. Stir into beaten eggs. Sieve flour and cocoa and beat into chocolate. Whisk in guinness. Pour into square baking pan and bake for ~20 mins. Yummy (tu)

Yay (tu) I like the format of the forum but then again, I didn't have experience of using it when there wasn't a drawing room for discussion of serious topics.... I haven't felt afraid to post in there although I am by no means an expert on any of the topics. I think there are some pretty good discussions going on and its interesting to read others' views (even if I don't always share them.)

Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How can you be offended by being called "love". Mick Mac - Happy to be corrected but I don't think its so much the word 'love' that is offensive as the way it can be intoned. E.g. Did you get that one, dearie? Doesn't seem offensive does it? - but its whats implied. I must have missed the news when they announced that "only gypsy's are offended by the word pikey?" Next track someone please...

> Oh listen, the DJ's playing Do the Locomotion by > Kylie, let's train everybody! Yes, lets all have a bit of a boogie - most people on here are fun IMO, purely for their variety of opinions, individual thoughts and subsequent debate. I cannot tell the difference between those users who are regular posters and those who have a moderating job too. But as someone said earlier on this thread, some terrible things are happening out there in the world today so some perspective would not go amiss. Meanwhile, we have a forum to enjoy....in lovely East Dulwich no less B) Now what's the next track....?

....a cafe specialising in all varieties of pancakes. ... and nutella.

Oh what a lovely day it is today...I think I could be in pancake-mode all week. Now how could I forget Crepes Suzette...? thin - check , yummy - check, simple to make - check. Same as previous ingredients plus freshly squeezed orange juice and a splosh of grand marnier (or similar), fold into little triangles. Did anyone else notice the hoardes* of people queuing up to buy nutella in somerfield/co-op last eve? PS. felt-tip, those savoury and sweet pancakes sound FAB (tu) * erm...of about 5 (edited to balance unintentional gross exaggeration) *goes off in search of nutella*
