  2. Brum - I did some research on statins a few years' ago when I was prescribed them. I vaguely recall that there was an increased chance of gall bladder cancer (I used BMJ to look at published papers). However my memory is pretty rubbish, so you might want to look up the arguments yourself. [This post does not indicate that I am buying into OP's stance wholeheartedly!]
