Re swimming, definitely ditch "freestyle" - it's always front crawl. Re eventing - riding a horse is extremely hard work which requires minute control and foolhardy nerves, and the element for disaster is endless - you don't get that with an inanimate boat.

I met a lovely chap on Peckham Rye on Sunday morning. He was on his ex-racehorse which he hunts in Somerset. He said when he first went to the country he was treated with an awful lot of hostility and suspicion as one of them Londoners who wanted to interfere with their way of life. Interesting to see how they view us townies.

On sartorial matters, bring back the old strip of red/white/blue hoops. First, it is so much easier to identify the Brit; secondly, it would put an end to all those bare midriffs. BTW - well done Ms Ohuruogu but I'd rather not see your navel. At least you beat that silly cow in the arm wrap thingies.

My neighbour's car had three tyres slashed in Adys Rd (just opp school) and he spoke to someone in Ondine Rd, just round the corner who had the same done to his car. -

Adys Road and Ondine Road suffered some last week. Think it was random vandalism rather than targetted. Sounds like your 'neighbour' is a knob. Isn't there some invisible paint one can get that colours the hands? Plaster on your tyres, wait for it to happen again and then contact the police. -

That's not good Asset. I tried physio for my Tennis Elbow which didn't help much. It took about a year for all twinges to subside. Maybe we should all try a night playing with our other hand - might be a hoot. (Ambidextrosians need not come)
