  1. I'm off to Brigadoon.
  2. Just read the blurbs - it seems the bookies favour Pietersen. Don't fancy him myself - he's far too arrogant. And he's not English! (I know that never stopped Greig and Lamb, but you know what I mean).
  3. Wow - I hadn't heard that. Good man, falling on his sword. Should make for an interesting test for your birthday!
  4. Well, that'll teach him to have his Walkman too loud.
  5. Weegee, pub yet to be announced.
  6. All's ill that ends ill.
  7. Down Town - Pet Clark
  8. He is lovely to chat to, and offered to cut my hair when it was v. long, for only ?10
  9. Re directions to post ticket in side window, from memory, the directions are on the ticket, not in the car park.
  10. Now that's how to get a century in style. Well done, Mr Collingwood.
  11. Ho hum, Pietersen's gone for 94. Not much longer to go.
  12. Is that Mr MacG in a shirt that is neither black nor exceedingly dark navy blue?
  13. I was done for this in Peckham once. The ticket was supposed to be on the right hand window. I appealed and lost.
  14. Oh, I don't know - blessed are the peacemakers.
  15. Do come - can't wait to see the love-in with you and Sean. 8.30ish. Gowlett Road, runs from East Dulwich Rd to Amott Rd. (The pottery place, All Fired Up, is on the corner of ED Rd.)
  16. When I was a nipper, I purchased a Recording Licence from the Post Office. This meant that one could legitimately record music from vinyl to tape, or whatever. This was stopped - don't know why. It seemed eminently sensible. Regarding Hasbro and Scrabble copyright, in the history of Scrabble there have been various nefarious goings on with copy/manufacturing rights so I don't have that much sympathy.
  17. Well that's where it's all going wrong. You lot are playing rounders and we're playing cricket.
  18. Perhaps it was all down to the initial toss?
  19. Not much different to the MCC then?
  20. Dare I say, things are looking up?
  21. I so want to believe in the shape-shifting dinosaurs.
  22. If I were a gambling man, Brendan .... As it is, I can only throw down the gauntlet. Gadzooks you knave. Outside. [i believe in miracles]
  23. I completely meant to go to this and forgot. Was reminded at about 9 pm when I was sitting in my garden and could hear the noise from the ground. Tell me it was rubbish and I didn't miss a thing, please.
