  1. "Can I remind people. There is golf on tv for 12 hours a day for the next 3 days. So you do have something to do." Are you mad? The honour of the nation is at stake a mere eight miles away.
  2. I'm sure I heard Dulwich Cricket Club mentioned on TMS earlier, but I only had half an ear out. Was I imagining it? As you were Keef.
  3. G'day, Mackenzie. Looking forward to Lord's?
  4. Here you go, Nettie, this charcoal is reusable: http://www.flat-d.com/flatdreusable.html
  5. I've resorted to a hefty dose of red wine - supposed to be good for the heart.
  6. Not good for my blood pressure. How exciting is this?
  7. Have a wonderful day everyone. I'm at work, so should you happen to amble past, all wee nips gratefully received.
  8. I'm a romantic, so it's walk everytime. Darling Geoffrey was saying that it would be impossible for all levels to maintain the spirit of cricket from schoolboy to test matches. I think he's got it arse about face: be exemplary at the top level and let it filter down.
  9. What a super day it's been - that's the joy and frustration of test cricket. So agree with Bob re Sky - I've been holding a one-woman protest against them since The Beautiful Game was lost to terrestial tv. Don't think I've affected their coffers yet. As you were: deluded.
  10. Revision: that's positive!
  11. I think that's called deluded.
  12. I saw the 'Cripple' play too on Saturday. I thought it was very funny interspersed with poignant moments and ending. I though the two old biddies stole the show and though Radcliffe was fine, I didn't think his contribution justified two solo bows at the end.
  13. Bathsheba (as in Gabriel)?
  14. Michael Henchard
  15. Wouldn't the kindest thing be to shoot the poor thing? It's apparently ailing, wounded, been set upon by dogs and distressed by humans trying to catch it - not a brilliant quality of life.
  16. Let's hope it's not a five year plan!
  17. The best time to get a pigeon is just a day before it flies the nest (while its still called a squab) and the time for rabbits is when they are quite young and not very fast. Not very sporting, what?
  18. Sofas and crates of champagne - sounds like the Quiet Room incarnate.
  19. Captain Scarlet
  20. Eric Burdon
  21. Escape to Victory
  22. Flora Poste
  23. I certainly sympathise with the OP. At the moment Sunday is my only day off so I would be seriously pissed off if I had a noisy enterprise outside my gaff.
