  1. Isn't there a clothes/cloth bank at Sainsbury's DKH?
  2. It's untaxed too
  3. It's probably one of FM Conway's transit vans
  4. Hilarious. Put the kerb back where it was, and it'll never happen again, people will stand on the old pavement, rather than a metre into the middle of Nutbrook Street and van drivers won't roar up Adys Road, seething after realising they've smashed the company truck up.
  5. The definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. It's what came to mind when I noticed that for about the fifth time in six months the bollard on the corner of these streets has been replaced after being knocked over. There's a new one there tonight, nice and upright with a fresh lick of black paint, solid in its Tarmac base. But I guarantee that within a fortnight it'll be scuffed with Transit van-white paint and leaning precariously before finally being uprooted. Can I suggest one of those bell-shaped cast iron blobs? Or - more radical - re-align the mouth of the junction to how the Victorians had it?
  6. If only TfL would put out ads to this affect
  7. Up and down Dog Kennel Hill. The bus lane on the down side was relaid a couple of years ago and was worse than the crumbling mess it replaced. Dangerous.
  8. Thought as much, although there doesn't appear to be much damage. He might want to move it before the fines amount to more than the bike's worth.
  9. It doesn't bother me that it's there, but it might bother the keeper if they mount up a load of fines.
  10. At the junction of Adys Road and East Dulwich Road. Don't know whether it's been left there after an accident, or stolen and abandoned, or just broken down, but if you're the owner, you should know that it's starting to attract parking tickets.
  11. What car is it?
  12. If it's on their premises, as opposed to on the public highway, just bin it. It's not a fine, it's effectively an invoice. Ignore it.
  13. Try here too: http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30
  14. I agree. All that cast-iron must've succumbed to rust then. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2633774
  15. He didn't have to, but he did. And fair play to that.
  16. You MUST appeal or they will continue with this bad practice. You simply cannot get a ticket for sitting in traffic, which is what you were doing. The appeal should be because 'The offence did not take place'.
  17. Hansler isn't controlled and the single yellows by the carpet shop aren't signed so are unenforceable. Appeal. If it's filmed from the camera car, ask for the whole film, which will show you not getting out of the car.

  19. My bike reads 7.1 miles to Oxford St, so probably not far off with the distance from town, by road.
  20. There's a 'change of gear' sound from certain aircraft types (these: http://www.cityjet.com/about-us/our-fleet/) as they turn over ED for final approach to London City Airport. As NickT say, it's a flap thing.
  21. Good idea, but just too expensive
  22. I've seen this before - thieves pop open the seat on Vespa ET2/ET4s to get at helmets often stored in there. The unlocked petrol cap is under there too, so perhaps frustrated at being unable to find anything, or start the bike, they torch it. Nice.
  23. Have you told the police? They may have it on their stolen list.
  24. BROKEN BRITAIN
  25. The truck was probably using part of the straight ahead lane to make the left turn possible.
