  4. People that don't have tattoos read too much into them I think. I have some but not to be cool or individual - I just like them. I think most people that have them are the same.

  14. A similar thing happened to me a few years ago. A post office van crashed into my car while it was parkedon the road. I contacted the post office's insurers (driver left the details) and they arranged for me to have a very nice courtesy car for a few weeks and they valued my vehicle (prior to crash!) while I had the courtesy car. They valued it at a bit less than it was actually worth (which wasnt much) and I took the money and bought a new one. I think you could probably claim (if you are fully comp) on your own insurance - less excess - for the difference between what their insurance company values your car at and what its worth - or let them argue it out. That is if the driver was insured. Otherwise you'll have to claim on your own insurance (if you are fully comp) less excess. Or go through some scheme that pays out on behalf of uninsured drivers. Cant remember what its called but its a pot of money that all insurers pay into to.
  15. I would LOVE to get a second hand buggy but I have been vetoe'd by Mrs Felt-tip. So now I'm devising ways to protect my wages from buggy-mania. The XLR sounds good.
  16. Does the Maclaren Techno XLR lay flat for a newborn? I saw a cot thing on mothercare.com but not sure how it all works. We've been looking at the bugaboos and stuff but my mate has the chameleon and says that now his boy is 10 months they just use the maclaren all the time as its so much lighter and easier to pack away for car journeys and stuff. If that is the case and the XLR is suitable from birth then I could just save myself about ?800...!
  17. depreciation + insurance + tax + MOT + fuel + servicing + the occasional unforeseen expense = ?3000 pa at least. have you looked into streetcar?

  22. Funnily enough I will already be at Tayyabs on Wednesday night with some mates. I may come over and say hello though. Do you have have some kind of secret code thing...? The only thing I've found with the bookings is that you make a reservation and sometimes when its very busy you get there and they've given your table to some of the queuing masses. Does make the whole experience more exciting though. I went there today actually for lunch. Had a lamb kebab.
  23. Yes I fed my folks a load of rubbish about studying really hard too. I'm now a Foxtons Estate Agent.
  24. But my number 1 advice would be DON'T GET A GIRLFRIEND until at least the final year. And don't go anywhere too near to home - stay away. Don't come back too often. Get stuck in.
